I am using Infinite 150. Average monthly quota usage just around 85GB. Digi at my area quite bad. Poor in the building.

Still thinking to change Celcxm RM188 come with 100GB(can get device pun). Just wonder Celcom coverage is better than digi x?
*
It depends on the area. Some of the places I go Digi has better coverage than Celcom.

QUOTE(Nels @ Jan 3 2018, 12:45 AM)
Haha, chill its my money smile.gif

Anyway for arguement sake,

- I need a High Speed Internet
- Flexibility

Thing that you didn't know,

- I'm on UD90 Plan (Umobile)
- I take it because Umobile connection is good at my office and I rarely stay home
- Quit job
- Back to freelance, no broadband at home (because there is no broadband at my area)
- Umobile connection at home was terrible, 3G barely run
- Tried Celcom prepaid also bad connection
- Tried DiGi prepaid, the 3G here is so bad but the 4G is superb.
- Stick with DiGi RM8/unlimited/day (crazy speed)
- Thought of registering for Infinite 150, figure out you need a downpayment of RM300.
- Was working on freelance, have to cover for daily internet (DiGi), UD90 plan, other "grown up" bills and to fork out RM300 for Infinite is a bit tough for the last few months.
- So I top up daily RM10 on prepaid because its  flexible. I need internet, I top up. I know I was consuming a lot of money here. I won't do it for long anyway smile.gif

Now, I can afford the plan I'm thinking of going Infinite 150 smile.gif But, I read through here and there, I know there are a few downside like P2P and so on, because I'm doing a really odd job right now its annoying to switch unless I confirm that it won't be a mistake.

Something like this is another issue that I'm worried to switch to "popular" plan like Infinite - https://community.digi.com.my/t5/Postpaid/D...-p/29038/page/2

There's a thread here: https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4356908

Well, I don't have issue like what's shared in the Digi Community link. Full speed most of the time.

Yeah I know there's a thread there smile.gif Thanks for sharing anyway. Its cool that you don't have those issue, I just hope I get what I paid for too. That's my concern. I need to do more research on this which I haven't really put time into digging it yet..  wink.gif

If you don't try, you won't know. That's all I can say. It may happen to others but not you, or vice versa if you are that unlucky.

Celcom is getting worse for me. Luckily paid by company, can't wait to the day when we switch our provider to Maxis.

It's slower than my personal line - Digi.

I'm still using an old prepaid without any data plan subscription with RM 38 superlong life sub.
Few days ago Digi sent me SMS saying I have activated Monthly RM 3 (1GB) and then another SMS stating that Digi gave me an exclusive promo of 2 months of 1GB/month/RM3 and it'll start auto deduct on the third month.
Anyone else getting this "PROMO"?
*
How I wish I have this plan for my mum, she is also on RM 38 SLL and never got this kind of promo. I have to help her to buy RM 4/week for 300MB every time she goes back to hometown... Sigh.

I purposely signed up once for UM for free data roaming in India. Let's put it this way, it was an embarrassment. I suffered a month there, only 3G and couldn't take it anymore used Celcom data roaming charged to company, everything was fast.

On another hand, I use Digi's Roam Like Home, everything was fast. So far only managed to try in Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand. I haven't tried in China but my friend tried and he said he can use FB, Google without VPN there. I always go to China but last year didn't, I will try when I go to Shanghai this year.

You're absolutely right. I haven't travel extensively in India, but the short time I was there, the roaming data was non-existence.
*
Data roaming is available in India but UM's data backpack in India is only limited to 3G. Terrible speed, less than 1Mbps, sometimes only 0.2Mbps. doh.gif I gave up and use Celcom's weekly data roaming package and it was fast with 4G and 4G+.
If it's not because Digi's Roam Like Home doesn't cover India, I will not bother to go for UM. Plus to register a local prepaid in India is not as easy as other countries.

I'm glad it was only one time thingy. I'm sorry to say, after this experience, I do not have good impression towards UM.

Digi's Roam Like Home is a Godsend to me these days.

You're unlucky that your first experience of free roaming with Umobile is in India, which is non-existence. It's great in other countries.
*
laugh.gif Just too bad. I will use Digi Roam Like Home whenever available or just stick to Celcom data roaming package when RLH doesn't cover that country. After all, my bill is paid directly by company without me paying anything upfront.

RLH comes free with my Digi Infinite 150.

sounds like you got fup'ed. they let you roam but slow you down.
not really true. when you roam on foreign telco and get slow speed, find a local using the same telco and compare. when you data roam, you are at the mercy of being deprioritized.
*
Not really. It is UM capped India data roaming to 3G only, that was last year, now I don't know. They mentioned in their website, it is 3G for India.

I used Celcom data roaming after that, it is much faster with 4G and 4G+. At least I can load YouTube and all.

My company's corporate plan is with Celcom now, as employees we are not required to pay anything. It will be settled by company directly and basically our line won't be blocked although I have spent few Ks in a month before due to data roaming and calls roaming. Previously Celcom is good but recently not fast anymore.

Now the company has the plan to switch us to Maxis which we are so looking forward to. laugh.gif I have used Maxis before during Legacy 99 days until early 2014, no other telco today that can beat its stability.

I'm using dual SIM phone and Digi is my personal line with no data plan attached (Ambassador Zero) and fetch data from corporate plan which in second slot. I'm more than happy to use Maxis SIM there. tongue.gif

This is how I maximize usage. laugh.gif
