Aye, mind blasts are aggro b****es. If I were you, I'd bubble first before silencing the mob for pulling. Silence and Shield are also an aggro b****es.

Ahhh... it's been sooooooo long since I lvl my priest. Maybe I should go back to my old server once in a while to lvl her up. I can't remember much on how to lvl a priest but all I remember is that wanding + renew was my friend.

I tend to agree with Heemee on VT (although I have to admit I've never had it before). Besides, if you're desperately trying to justify staying a shadow priest, I would think this 41 talent should be one of your ace cards. Just my 2c.

Atm, the pre70 instances, I can still fade out of Silence. Even with Shielding after the Silence pull. But my luck may run out at lvl70 instances. ><

My runs with Shadow Priests through the 2nd room of SL has been terrible. Somehow, their MC gets resisted a lot and when the MT/OT cannot tank multiple mobs well, it's a slaughter house. Probably need to go full points into Shadow Focus to see if that helps.

PreBC leveling for my Holy priest was Holy Fire, Mind Blast, SW:P. Didn't like Smite much. And a lot of pot drinking.

I went to d/l an addon to see how much mana VT actually gives back. I'm actually thinking of staying Shadow even though my previous goal was to change to Holy Spec at 70. The pew-pew-pew-ness is getting to me too.

I've nvr been to SL before, since I've semi-retired even before BC. Just keep in mind that MC is a shadow spell and if the mob has high SR then MC will get resisted a lot. Also, for mobs that AOE, when it AOEs the party, MC will break since the priest gets damage.

Hmm, I didn't really drink mana pots a lot while lvling as a holy priest back then. Just drank a lot of water after battles. Shield and MB are actually mana inneficient, especially shield. I usually holy fire first, then pain, then renew and wand. Heal when at half hp and renew pain whenever it finishes. Hardly need to drink any pot.

hehe I understand about enjoying pewpewness. I love my lock. Can't believe I stayed a holy priest for a good 2 years++ of my WoW life.

My personal grinding spec at level 68 now. Seriously, I can't remember the last time I had to sit down and drink. Standard pull - VT, SW:P, Flay, Fear Rank 1, Flay, wand, Spirit tap! Rinse and repeat. Mobs seem to go down between 10-15 secs and i hardly get any down time.

To see how much mana VT Actually gives back, scrolling combat text. Your screen will be filled with a wall of text.

On a side note, mind blast is crazy aggro. I remember holding aggro on onyxia for about 2 minutes with mindblasts in old wow even though i had all the aggro reduction skills lol.

The irony about my priest is I made my warrior so i could grind/farm for my holy priest, but now it's my shadow priest farming for my prot warrior

Edit: MC breaking is also affected by your +hit% with spells. Everyone learned this on the razuvious in Naxxramas, that by stacking +4% hit you would reduce the chance of MC breaking on every tick to nearly 0%.

I should really change what I type. Ok, meant drinking water rather than drinking pots. Never use pots during leveling. Using the same tactic as Kidicarus except the Fear. When I'm surrounded by too many mobs, never sure where that mob will run too, even if I did pull it far.




SCT gives it per tick. I went to d/l VampWatch just to see what was my current total now and compare it later when I hit 70.



Mind is farming for my resto druid. Seriously damn gimp.

Hmm...how much +spell hit % do you currently have at lvl 68? I'm pretty sure that most of the Shadow Priest I've run with had hit the 4% limit for MC. Although, have not been to Naxx at all. But having gone thru Shadow Labs and Shattered Halls, it wasn't a pretty sight.

I've seen the priest using MC while the mob is running to us and not as a first pull. Reason is that the aggro from the MC now aggroes the next group of mobs in both SL and SH. Anyone got better ideas?

Pre-BC days? Coz I don't see it in any of the post-2.0 patch notes for Priest. If anything, it's probably gotten worst because Silent Resolve now no longer reduces threat on Shadow Spells.

hmm. . .
how long do VT last ar, it deals certain amount of damage over 15 secs, will it dissappears after 15 secs? ( cause i never pay attention to it whenever i use it only notice the 10 mana regained )

The parties I have been in so far all never rests.... all have the same idea that priests mana is bottomless like the drinks in Chillis. lol
