gladys : westerners tend to have a skewered view about female gamers. it's either they are considered losers because they're nerds since they play the time , wear specs, pimple, etc. Or that they just focus on the looks and not on the game skill. it's like there's no middle ground for a girl gamer to fit in. as long as she's a girl gamer, she's either very weird or a bimbo-wannabe.

then again, if Game Axis is getting a man to do the interview, aiyaya.

of course it's skewered. put it this way. research is done yes. the findings are what u mention yes. what research hasn't necessarily done is persuade the male-dominated community in general that girl gamers good at what they do. girl gamers are usually look down upon or ridiculed for playing a game that is considered mannish.

when the mainstream medias are still making a big hoohaa or going big-eyed about the existance of female gamers for more than 20 years, you know that it's not widely accepted for females to be gaming. let's take out nintendogs, the sims, 2nd life. look at the RPGS, RTS  games out there. majority of female players are still closet players and only recently have some been speaking up about it.

surprisingly, female asian players are more accepted in asian gaming communities compared to the western gaming community. i'm not sure why this is happening but it's easier for an asian male to accept the fact that females like playing games and that they're pretty decent. for westerners, they're still extremely shock that females are gaming or are in denial.

True!! Doing a google search, US WoW gold is sold at about USD370 if you bulk buy 3000 gold. So for 5000, it should be worth roughly USD550... which is about RM1900....
I'm pretty sure they can get some really hot and sexy prostutite for USD500...not that "lady" in the photo...

Atm, the pre70 instances, I can still fade out of Silence. Even with Shielding after the Silence pull. But my luck may run out at lvl70 instances. ><

My runs with Shadow Priests through the 2nd room of SL has been terrible. Somehow, their MC gets resisted a lot and when the MT/OT cannot tank multiple mobs well, it's a slaughter house. Probably need to go full points into Shadow Focus to see if that helps.
PreBC leveling for my Holy priest was Holy Fire, Mind Blast, SW:P. Didn't like Smite much. And a lot of pot drinking.
I went to d/l an addon to see how much mana VT actually gives back. I'm actually thinking of staying Shadow even though my previous goal was to change to Holy Spec at 70. The pew-pew-pew-ness is getting to me too.
