QUOTE(Kidicarus @ Apr 9 2007, 02:40 PM) I'm the only Malaysian in my EU guild (and as far as i know, on my server lol) and i like it that way. Thing is we've always had "girlz" in my guilds. And we've always accepted them as equals in raids. In fact one of the most feared and respected pvp warrior players on my server was female (probably cos of the garangness). I play in Proudmoore PvE server. The guild i'm in only allow gamers > 25 years old to join. It's an Aussies based guild and we have a lot of couples playing together. From my experience most female gamers are better player than male, especially as healer Yes, they are rare and guys tend to be nicer to them as well. But i don't think that's a bad thing. In spite of your preconceptions, from experience, in wow at least i don't think girls are discriminated against based on their sex. And it's always nice to hear a female voice on vent/TS |

Well, it's definitely nice to hear the response from all of you regarding female gamers.
Although, I admit that I like mixed-guilds rather than an all-female guild There are things that guys are better at than gals and vice versa, resulting in team-effort.. Or it's dependant upon the person. Too much feminity in one group can occasionally lead to ... errrm... rumbles and grumbles. This post has been edited by myremi: Apr 10 2007, 05:19 PM |

Well... honestly, I hate to admit it but I generally get along better with males than with females...ever since I could remember. I boil it down to the fact that most of the stuff that I am interested in are "boys stuff" e.g. I watch Thundercats, Transformers, Voltron etc but never the Pony cartoon thing and the Rainbow Bears (or something like that..bears with rainbows in their stomachs). I play video games and I like talking about it...was never interested in the female gossip thingie..... So.... I have to say I do like guys better just because we share the same interests but I also enjoy some very very occassional minimal teeny weeny male bashings once in a little long while >:D

It is always nice to have a healthy balance of males/females. WOW is pretty much the first MMORPG I've played that had a significant female player population. All the other games I've ever tried (COH, Knight, RYL) seemed to be batang-only hahaha.
I dont think it makes any difference skills-wise if the player is female or male. Maybe if the mounts were stick shift instead of auto, the guys would have an advantage /duck QUOTE(myremi @ Apr 10 2007, 05:15 PM) Well, it's definitely nice to hear the response from all of you regarding female gamers. Actually I do prefer a stick-shift compared to an AUTO car. More power.

QUOTE(Quazacolt @ Apr 9 2007, 05:15 PM) yes, asian mmo blows, so much, they lack the creativity to stop sucking, and now they are copying WoW interfaces. if you havent noticed, the recent asian mmo releases are ALL using the same if not similiar interface as WoW... lol.. anyhow .. kaos beats ttl in local RWC and then lost to them at RWC semi ... if i m not mistaken .. its shit like that that makes me feel bad about my own heritage. for me personally though, i had my sister playing with me shes a priest. kyogezsho: the part of him joining RWC is ownage, the part where he is KAOS isnt, sadly. after al malaysian teams kaos n legion / ttl owns... each of thier own servers .. till now kaos still doing very well in RO ... i was part of it lastime till i play WOW... .. no more time for such 2d graphics game lol |

Increase our chances a bit hehe havn write yet..lazyQUOTE(myremi @ Apr 9 2007, 12:54 PM) nah, don't think i'd get it. already took a shot at the interviewer being male so definitely slim chances. >< i do blog..few yrs back.. now dont remmeber those blog account password eidi never mind lah. as long as 3 of us can sit down and yamcha in May, don't care about interviews. now if gladys or u do write a blog, that would be more interesting news. i've not read Game Axis Magazine at all, to tell you the truth. so I don't really know what it's like. but i can imagine it's very difficult to keep up with online blogs about game news and all. wonder how game magazines make money though, the printed version ones that is. The online game magazine I like to read is The Escapist (www.theescapist.com). Weekly published. Covers stories that most game journalists do not cover. |

Just something I'm wondering, (this is NOT male bashing or me trying to wave my..um..e-boobs? around) do you feel any different if you were to lose in a duel to a female than to a male when you did not know the gender of that person until after you lost?
Coz there was this mage who lost a few times in a duel to my priest and after about 3 consecutive losses he whispered me and said "good duels, bro" and I replied "try sister" and his attitude suddenly changed 180 degrees. He whispered something like "WTF? yeah right!" and I replied "It IS right" and he whispered "yeah whatever, get the f*** away from me you gay" and /ignore me. Then there's this other time when they guy lost and found out about my gender he was like "lol, damn now I feel even worse!". But I've gone into numerous duels with guys who knew about my gender before the duel and they feel OK even when they lost. So what's up with this? |

From the sounds of it, it sounds like he assumed that you're a man, and a gay man at that. Not from the last bit but when you mentioned the word "sister".Coz there was this mage who lost a few times in a duel to my priest and after about 3 consecutive losses he whispered me and said "good duels, bro" and I replied "try sister" and his attitude suddenly changed 180 degrees. As for the 2nd guy, if he feels worst, probably it's due to a bad day (can get to anyone) or low self-esteem. But he's still able to cope with it better than the first guy did. Best is to forget out it and not get too upset about it all. Mind you, even I get upset at times. It's a hormone thing. This post has been edited by myremi: Apr 11 2007, 11:13 AM |

Aye I know the first guy thinks I'm a gay man but it seems like it's easier for him to accept the fact that he was defeated by a gay man than by a REAL woman. LOL...
nah I'm not upset, maybe at that time I was a little but definitely not now. I am just curious...coz it seems to me when they KNOw that u're a female and they lost, it's fine, but when they only knew about you being a female AFTER they lost, they get kinda upset. Just curious why is this the case when the outcome is the same. |

oh yeah, the rainbow bit. they all puff up or something or the rainbow appears at the end of an encounter or something like that. something about being able to do it once or something.
seen : ah well. at least being in malaysia isn't too bad now compared to our parents days. Added on April 11, 2007, 12:36 pmbtw, can someone go and help me bump this posting ? think the lag has improved in the past week and i'd like to get new numbers. since LYN changed the way posts are on, i can't bump it until someone else post something up. http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/411268/+140 Added on April 11, 2007, 12:55 pmhmm... maybe another confession. if i needed to get something done, i will occasionally go into "helpless female" mode. just to get things done or info that i wanted. or butter up the men's ego to get him to do what needs getting done. politics, gotta love it, in whatever form is appears.
