What research ?

I'm actually a gpu miner , the question above is from my friend . We are using nicehash calculator as A refrence , as we can see nicehash ROI is in 31 Days , Meanwhile 1080 ti 111Days .. (i'm mining using 1080 ti)

I do know about the GPU can minig many coins and others but why do we still keep mining gpu even the hashrate is slower than Antminer?

By following the refrence that i use from this graph and miner , The antminer is more profitable than 1080 ti

Higher DAG means efficiency drop only, that's why I say go with 8GB RX models.

AMD card no 3GB model, only GTX 1060 has.

I was referring to Nvidia cards. I have given up on the AMD cards lol.

it's not the most efficient mining gpu atm
from what i gather is that the architecture of the memory isn't as suitable as previous models
so yea, it's not optimized for mining, not best bang for buck, hence not the most recommended card

imho rx 400 and 500s will continue triumphing the mining category for gpu mining

There are those that's RM 2.2k or less BUT the greater problem for would-be miners now is that most shops reserve them for rig builds first.

If you look at ETH alone then RX models.

However while GTX 1080 sucks at ETH (yup, my GTX 1060 does almost as good), the landscape changes when you go other coins like say ZCash.

TL;DR
1080TI is bad at the most profitable coin to mine right now (ETH / ETC).
But does pretty decent at some other alt coins that mine using different algorithm.
