With Malaysia always in cloudy condition, solar panel would only work around 5% efficiency (21% being max efficiency from solar panel), which is similarly expensive as well.

Hmm, didn't realized this cloud issue in Malaysia. Good info, thanks.

no point mining ETH now right?
*
If you already have the hardware, then continue mining.
If you plan to buy new, not recomended as roi might take more than a year or worse, never.

Is ETC worth mining ?
*
Look at whattomine, the return of ETH and ETC almost the same.
If you always sell the coin you mine, doesn't make too much difference.

For long term hold, no idea.

Or you can try the traditional style, mine a specific coin, move to a big exchange and convert it to USDT or TUSD.

Is it still viable to do mining? Been reading through the difficulties....Just wondering those brothers who are still doing mining, can cover electricity & ROI from all those GPUs?
*
Don't do it if your intention is to make money.
Currently electric bill almost equal to the coins you mine. Probably will never get the hardware costs back.

Does it mean if new comers wanted to come in, now their intention is just mine the coin to keep....and pray for the price to go up and sell next time?
*
yes, coin price is really bad now.
You can still mine the coin and hope for price to increase.
But... in this situation, might as well direct buy the coin using your electric money.
No need to worry about heat, noise and possible hardware failure of the mining machines.

If you're hardware geek that like to explore then different story lar, prepare to lose the money you paid for the hardware tho.

Sound like dooms day for Miners....but I do agree with you after reading many feedbacks, as of today it seems direct buy the coin without fussing so much on hardware is more viable
*
For those that get into mining at the beginning of the year, its doomsday.
For those who already in the mining scene since 2016, life as usual coz they rig already earn fully paid back.

Depends on you want to wait for the next boom 3-5 years later or not lor...

mining via online game? botting allowed?
Is botting considered as cheating?

Btw I heard of trade mining too but its more like the exchange's trick to increase their volume.

For now I tend to have more faith in the traditional mining method of POW and POS or even a mix of POW+POS.

Mining costs is USD7k?
I saw a chart saying the electric costs in china to mine 1 btc is around usd3.2k.
Not sure how much hash rate difficulty has added to the costs tho.

Now mining is a battle to see who has more power to keep mining until the hash rate drop.
I think China gonna win the mining battle, their access to ASIC and cheap power can't be matched by other countries.
