Congrats to you folks who won your first gym raid. As for me, I lost.

I was the only player there. So, just solo against 19xxxCP Jolteon. I don't have double ground move pokemons. I even max out my 91% IV tyranitar and 100% D9 ... cannot finish in time.

I don't mind that Jolteon as I got 100% IV TS/TB Jolteon. I want the TM and XP.

if solo, can win against lvl2 or lvl1 raid boss?

it doesn't matter if its lvl1, 2, 3 or 4, will still get TM right?

then no point fighting a lvl3 alone unless it's a rare pokemon.

actually not SE, just normal since Dragon resists electric while flying is effective.
When I said change, I don't mean changing pokemons during the battle. There's no time at all. I just dodge charged moves.
I only changed pokemons when I lost completely. Anyway, it was not possible. 19xxx CP cannot be handled alone even if lvl 40 unless you've at least 3k double ground moves mon. In this case, each can tackle 6k CP due to type effectiveness.
6k x 3 = 18000CP ..... even then you also have time limit.

so what to power up now??

I don't know what to evolve and what to change moveset to change already, since nothing is important anymore.
Should I change 100% DT/O Gyarados to DT/HP??
or 2800CP water pulse Vaporeon to Aqua tail or HP???

I can't believe I'm saying this but I hope one of my Pokemon comes back in the next 24 hours. If it doesn't, then no 50 coins for me. Still got 3 pokemons sitting for more than 24 hours.

btw, I got a 100% lvl3 Dratini. I wish there were a CP re-roll feature so that it can be like lvl 20.

I did. I was there for 45 minutes .... I tried all combinations.

Initially I tried 5 Rhydon + 1 Golem.... didn't make it in time. Could hardly took his half HP ....

So I had to use D9. Sometimes even charged moves I didn't dodge. Still not enough time.

conclusion: if single, don't attempt lvl 3 and lvl 4.

I tried yesterday single against Quilava, 5000CP. No problem! Can use half CP vaporeon still ok.
then against Snorlax. My group made it in one try. We were 6 but all use Machamp. The next group besides us failed and had to wait for more ppl to join.

I saw Machamp too but dare not go solo. My Alakazam is not even max out...

I won against a Tyranitar but I ran out of premium balls....

yeah, I think ppl who chose the right/good pokemon should be rewarded with higher XP or stardust.

I got 34xx (B/SE) and 33xx (IT/SE).
I think maybe I should use TM on 34xx to get B/C,
and TM on 33xx to get B/SE.

all my 3000CP+ pokemons are not as useful as gym defenders anymore.

I already got 2 tyranitar 91% and 93% IV above lvl35... don't think I need a lvl20 Tyranitar.

just now, I soloed Machamp with 2 accounts (should have done this with Jolteon too then I would have won). No one was around. I got higher IV Larvitar but I don't think I'm gonna spend my stardust on them.


pokemon has levels .... when you catch one after raid boss, it's level 20. You have to power it up.

left hand level29 account, right hand level36 account, won against Machamp....

but lost against Lapras...
I used 2x 26xxCP Machamp, 2x 34xxCP Tyranitar SE, 1x Jolteon, 1x Arcanine on my lvl36 acc. Sometimes I changed to 2x Rhydon but still cannot win against time. For lvl29 acc, I used Flarion & Arcanine & Machamp.
On my best try, could take about 67.5% HP .....
Lesson learned: cannot solo lvl4 Lapras.

after that, I soloed Alakazam with just lvl36 account. Again failed.
I guess I need 6x Umbreon.

so lost 3 raid passes in a day.
During these battles, I was the only one there. Was hoping someone would come around.

got a fast TM on lvl29, but no TM on lvl36.

btw, what to do with over 3000CP Blissey? Wanted to change pound/DG to ZH/DG, but now I'm not sure anymore.
