Did you claim for the 200 + 200 vouchers earlier?

Just want to make sure since it appears those who claimed before cannot do so again
*
IINM many of us here including myself have been able to claim the 200+200 and subsequently the rm400 voucher. Previously with the 200+200 many accounts could be created to exploit the loophole though I expect many of us were considerate enough to do it only once. With the new 400 voucher only one can be claimed per device. Creating multiple accounts does not generate another code. But again to answer your query, the RM400 voucher can be claimed even though one has already received the 200+200.

S8 or s8+ ..rhinoshield bumper is a bit loose at the side for s8+..button also need to press a bit harder
*
I second this gentleman's claim that with the phone in the rhinoshield bumper the buttons are rather hard to press and require more force than usual. Don't have one myself but I have experienced this on my friend's S8. May be a necessary trade-off in the bumper's material to achieve better drop protection.

My Rhinoshield bumper case on my iPhone7 and my btother iPhone7+ are working fine though.
*
Then you should be fine smile.gif on the plus side it does feel nice to hold and let's the phone retain its slim profile.

Sorry I forgot to quote earlier. It was for the blitzwolf type c cables from banggood. I'll put the link below. I think by default it'll display USD but can change to RM

Hi.. im keen on getting the S8+. Curious on a few things.
For the camera, can we take a shot and select the focusing point later like the Huawei P10?
And the screen on time can get avg 5hrs? Im quite a heavy user on whatsapp and internet. No gaming though.
Any recommendations for tampared glass screen protector that sticks perfectly? Brand and price pls.
Thanks a lot.
*
Unfortunately we cannot select the focusing point after taking the shot like on the Huawei P10's 'wide aperture' mode. The only option we have for software background blur is a 'selective focus' mode whereby the focus point is fixed once you take the shot and cannot be adjusted later on. Also, the amount of background blur cannot be adjusted like on the P10, drawback of a single lens camera.

For your 2nd question, depends if you are on WiFi most of the time? If you are, then mainly internet and WhatsApp will get you near 10 hours SOT or more if constantly under use.

you can still select front or back focus after shot taken. but still huawei has better control on this.
*
Yes I am aware of this but I didn't feel the need to include it as it doesn't exactly answer his question. Selecting front or back focus isn't the same as being able to adjust the point of focus anywhere on a photo taken afterwards which is what the P10's camera allows you to do, with finer controls to adjust the amount of software blur as well.

So this is a hardware limitation of single lense?
*
Yes bro, there is only so much our single lens S8/S8+ can do to create software blur a.k.a 'bokeh effect' via the selective focus mode. Compared to the P10 which has a second lens (besides being a monochrome sensor), thus allowing both lenses to sort of sense the 'depth' of a picture

anybody bought from banggood b4? my cables shipped at 20th july today also not yet arrive, normal? what is you guys duration of waiting from shipped to reach your hands....
*
I bought the cables from them in May. Took 10 days to arrive. I paid extra for the shipping because that was my first time ordering from them. But the tracking number was only valid until they reach KLIA which was about 3 to 4 days? After that no use tracking anymore. Just had to wait patiently.

Thanks guys for the replies. Managed to try one of my colleague s7 which is the same. After shot it seems can refocus to select the bokeh.
Regarding the SOT, can get 10hrs? Currently using A9 Pro with its 5000mah batt, i can only get about 7hrs with batt level showing 20%.
*
Oh it's possible alright. Yesterday I was at the dentist waiting and waiting for 3 hours. Used my S8+ over his WiFi network. Counted my SOT since I had too much time. After 2 hours of SOT my battery dropped 15%. Mainly used it for web browsing, Facebook and WhatsApp. So yes, definitely possible

If use nonstop sure can but doesn't mean it's good when you don't have any standby time left ie. your phone won't last a day. A good battery life should also take into account standby time. Is. 24 hours usage with 10 hours sot and 10 hours standby.
*
Actually it's very good when you know what you're doing with your phone. I regularly get to the end of the day with >50% left. I'll attach some screenshots I've taken from the past.

Attached Image
Attached Image

Ended the day with almost 5 hours of SOT with 60% left since unplugging before bed the night before. (Standby time 20 hours as shown in screenshot)

Another one, about 1 and a half days of standby (39 hours) time left with 52% with >5 hours SOT.

So yes Danny bro, 10 hours is possible throughout a full day including standby time.

Adhell is not blocking ads?
Can disable Bixby?  blink.gif
*
With a not so recent update the developers introduced a package disabler tab in the app. It provides a simple interface to disable any unwanted packages though not as robust or feature packed as the paid package disabler apps. But yes, Bixby can be disabled from with Adhell by using this feature.

Yeah~ it is to disable it, not remap it
Bixbye, etc is remap, of which ur phone is still opening n close it immediately
Btw can advise what else to disable, slot of system thingy don't know whether should disable or not
*
I think angel-girl shared a very comprehensive list of things that can be disabled on page 111 of this thread provided that you don't intend on using many of the services or features that are included in the list. I myself have not disabled that many processes. For example I see that she has disabled most if not all of the edge panels. Another example would be that she has disabled 'com.sec.android.easyonehand' which is the one-handed mode on our S8/S8+, which I find to be very convenient in daily use. But as long as you don't mind not having these features, then it's not a problem.

Edit: I apologize to angel-girl if I have wrongly assumed your gender, though I expect the use of the pronoun 'she' is fitting lol.

Try Rock Pure case haha. I'm liking it so far. Goes well with original SP and less bulky than neo hybrid.
