Hi all. I couldn't find my auto headlights sensitivity settings on TCP, HU? there is auto headlights off timer and instrument panel sensitivity settings though. Any ideas?

Plus is there a way for us to enable auto headlights on car unlock?
*
no sensitivity setting in our models. only timer

not sure if outside can enable the auto headlights on car unlock

Guys, need an opinion for 1.5 TC VS  1.5 TC-P. I see most of the stuff is cosmetics. Only two things I consider important, Air cond Duo Auto and Navigation. Is it really useful or can I live without it ?

Personally I prefer Waze or google map for GPS map, (I am an iphone user).
*
u got your answer
dual zone mostly useful if you always bring your wife/gf.
i seldom use dual-zone but tcp headlight is poisoning me

For me, all of the above is useful and I use it frequently. Lately my phone has been acting up and the navigation comes in real handy. Dual AC, this one is more for my gf who loves to change the AC temp every time she's in the car. Now she can change it for her side....although in the long run, the temperature in the cabin will stabilize.. What I love the most though, are those headlights. They're not purely cosmetics either. The LED liights are brighter and do project farther than halogen lights......and they're just so damn beautiful.
*
dont forget the LED signal is well matched at the front too. and the led foglight

Guys, I'm a "new" owner of TC-P OPW. Would like to check on servicing schedule. I've done my 1k inspection back in May and currently my screen is showing Service Due every time I start the car now, my mileage is 6700km. Is this the turbo service or has my 10000k oil change arrived early? Appreciate you reply. Thank you.
*
engine oil service

the manual is really a good read

QUOTE(Wind82 @ Jul 3 2017, 10:31 AM)
Hi guys,

I just notice the front passenger seat cushion cover is really loose?

Its like it can be easily lift up from the bottom. Is it supposed to be like this?
*
most likely the clips are broken

Thank you. Hence the turbo service will just follow the manual. Only engine oil we refer to the meter. Correct me if I'm wrong.
*
technically yes. ur SA never briefed you?

QUOTE(Wind82 @ Jul 3 2017, 10:47 AM)
Omg, the seat is rarely used.. the clip so easily broken?

Can claim warranty?

I thought it's a feature when you shut off your doors, it will not turn off until maybe 10 seconds later or after you locked your car...
*
not sure if this applies inside the car but worth to check it

i set mine to off instantly for the headlight after the door shut. default is 10 (or 15?) seconds

QUOTE(isr25 @ Jul 3 2017, 08:59 PM)
Just tested my car.

Light switch in "Off" position
The interior light will always be off rolleyes.gif

Light switch in "Middle" position
1. The interior light comes on when the door opens
2. When you shut the door, the interior light slightly dims
3. The interior light shuts off in 13-15 seconds after all doors are closed
4. When you open the door, the interior light will immediately turn on
5. When you close and lock the door without the engine running, the interior light will immediately shut off
6. When the door unlocks, the interior light will immediately turn on

Light switch in "On" position
1. The interior light will always be on
2. When you lock the car without the engine running, the interior light will shut off in 3 seconds
*
briefly tested mine when the switch in middle position and the result same as yours

lights dim when shut the door(after engine off) and light off after door locked.

but why is that not normal lol?

Good to hear that. I'm abit skeptical to let them change the modulator since it requires to take out lot of parts

It isn't straight forward... need special cable usb A to A, and u android sdk! damn, meaning i have to become a mobile developer to hack this...
*
android sdk is free but not the cable lol. you need cable and laptop and the rest are pretty straightforward but of course there are some users can't get it work too

i jsut wondering if the SC able to find out your rooted HU. warranty is the concern as i just encountered my bluetooth device inside HU cannot be turn on for no reason. even android auto is not detected too. reboot the HU twice then work again doh.gif
this is not the first time happen

Need to ask Lord Gitsy whether reasonable or not smile.gif
Probably not. Bluetooth, somehow mine is sometimes disabled when I turn on the car. Need to manually enable it. This happens once in a blue moon though...
*
mine can't even enable it even i try to turn it on. keep prompting me bluetooth is disabled

i will just close one eye on this

QUOTE(SackBoy @ Jul 11 2017, 04:47 PM)
Actually by reading the instruction it isn't straight forward, unless u know what they are exploiting. If i were to root it using the provided github there's no way to un-root it. So if SC is smart or tech savvy (unlikely at all) they can find it. Of coz first thing u avoid is to install the app on the middle screen, that little app icon will give it off immediately. Then there's so many shell script to run, and in the instruction didn't even mention what to do with the whitelist.xml, which i presume i need to modify it.

edit: Just realize our HU runs on android 4.2.2 so old... finding apk to support such old android and working might be a problem, not to mentioned we need to hotspot our phone to enable internet for the HU to wifi connection.

At the end of the day, imho by-pass cable + mirror-link combo is more elegant hacking HU to install old custom app.
*
you're right. the version is too old to support most of the daily use apps.

Thanks for the heads up: just checked on FB, and yea there seems to be a recall for the 3 Way Joint for most, if not all 2017 Civic cars.
