Anyway, regarding light steering. So far the lightest steering I've ever had to use was an X-Trail back in 2008. That damn car steering was too light - and I thought my Honda City 2006 was very light. Steering was damn twitchy and make me feel want to vomit after a long drive in that company car.

QUOTE(celciuz @ Aug 29 2017, 09:59 AM) Electric steering should reduce the assist once speed pick up right? So it would be "heavier" for more steady drive at higher speed. Yes, but it depends on how the electric steering is programmed to behave. They can add a more "weighty" feel at speeds, and "light" during parking maneuvers.

QUOTE(keypad @ Sep 1 2017, 10:43 AM) Need help.... I have installed Android Auto through the latest APK (arm64) for my Note 5. When I connect my phone via USB and clicked on the Smartphone Connection icon and I got this: Can anyone advise me what I should do? Try this: QUOTE I ended up having this issue once the Marshmallow 6.0.1 update came out, as mentioned above its all in the developer options, to get to the Developer Options (Which Is Not In Your Settings By Default) Go to Settings - About Phone - scroll down to Build number and tap that 7 times, that enables Developer Options to show in your settings, Now go into the developer options and and enable USB debugging as mentioned as well as USB Config, click on USB Config and be sure that MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) is selected. This will enable the connection w/ data transfer. For some reason it keep reverting back to Charging only, but it a quick fix. Cheers https://forums.androidcentral.com/samsung-g...nt-connect.html

QUOTE(~C.W.S~ @ Sep 6 2017, 11:07 AM) Do you guys turn off aircon each time before stop the engine? Or just be like "nah screw it" just turn off the engine? 100% of the time: Start Engine → Turn on Aircond → Turn on Radio → Engage Drive Gear → Disengage Parking Brake → Drive → Engage Parking Gear → Engage Parking Brake → Turn off Radio → Turn off Aircond → Stop Engine This post has been edited by isr25: Sep 6 2017, 11:31 AM

QUOTE(~C.W.S~ @ Sep 6 2017, 11:40 AM) Hmm was thinking with current car technology wondering technically if we still need to manually do this. Same goes if we need to switch N during traffic red light stop etc. Don't think it's really needed anymore, but it's something I do No need to switch to N - use brake hold

QUOTE(nowa78 @ Sep 6 2017, 08:40 PM) i understand that our civic is having 47 liters of fuel tank capacity, anyhow i have one curiosity My fuel low indicator lighted up on digital panel show that estimated there is still 40++KM to go, i immediately drive to petrol station and pump in full which approximate ~40 liters of fuel. This mean in fact my tank still left 7 liters before i re-fuel. Base on estimated fuel consumption of 15km/liters, i suppose able to drive another ~100km, somehow how come the estimation done by car computer show that i left with 40++ km? Anybody did continue drive at the moment that car computer estimation <0km? Thanks for advise Your question has an answer in the FAQ

QUOTE(Newbie838 @ Sep 7 2017, 09:24 AM) Just wondering here. Shouldn't it be Drive → Engage Parking Brake → Release brake pedal → Engage Parking Gear ? Engaging the parking gear first would put strain on the gearbox instead of the parking brakes. I've experienced this in older cars when parked on a steep slope where even after engaging the parking brake, the car will still slide a little before the parking brake stops it. My complete sequence would be : Drive → Press Brake Pedal → Come to a Complete Stop → Engage Parking Gear → Engage Parking Brake → Release Brake Pedal edit - I'm sure you're right though - iinm the correct learners method is to put it in parking brake first, then only put it in P. It's just the way I have been doing for the past 15 years, but I never take my foot off the foot brakes until the parking brake is fully engaged. QUOTE(appleyor @ Sep 7 2017, 02:41 PM) Got my 1.5TC a week ago, today when I was washing the car n just got to notice the terriable n deep scratches on my front right rim, I have no idea what n how this damage been caused. Any idea how to fix it? Or how much is the cost of replace the rim? Sorry to see this damage... seems like you might've hit a kerb somewhere. Not sure if you can repair it though... replacing the rim would cost RM1k+ from Honda iinm - but you can find a number of people selling their stock rims due to them buying a new set of aftermarket wheels.

QUOTE(stinky @ Sep 7 2017, 05:15 PM) I wanted to buy Honda Wheel Lock Nut but saw in google photos alot of them actually broke off or chipped off causing it unable to remove. Any experience? Dunno. Using Mcgard - and they specifically tell you in the instruction booklet not to use the pneumatic torque wrench. I do it manually and make sure they do it manually too QUOTE(mmw5610 @ Sep 7 2017, 05:16 PM) does owning 2nd hand civic TCP can be in the list as well? Caaaaaaaan. QUOTE(ucantseeme @ Sep 7 2017, 09:36 PM) Just curious, how do you truly turn off the HU, pressing the button on top? I assume that's just for the display because everything is still running in the background right? Dun think you can turn the HU off completely. The button on top is just display brightness toggle. By pressing the power button for around 10 seconds you can reboot the HU system

The mat it is quite difficult to move around actually with velcro around the mat sticking the floor. All good then

QUOTE(rayhvs @ Sep 10 2017, 06:01 PM) Guys, just done my 20k KM service today. Just a question, is it a must to do air cond evaporator cleaner in 20k KM service? I do not find it stated in honda maintenance service schedule. It's put under optional - no need to do and can request to remove when they first explained the service job sheet. https://www.honda.com.my/uploads/pdf/civic/...TC%202016YM.pdfShould only replace the air filter element every 30K km service or 18 months.
