ermmm...i never really liked assault since the Beta...Prefer domination and tug of war...BTW has anyone tried the few player mode?

just got my game from tsb yesterday!! played the game last night with my friend and a couple of bots, man the game is freaking hard, lol. i agree with you about the box being "lame kotak only" but still, its the game that matters im still trying to master the game though, any tips for me?

Congrats!!!Welcome to the club... Post your user name so people here can add you. The game is a bit fast paced and since its real time, there is a lot of things goin on around you that you must look around and analyse the situation almost all the time. Can be daunting for a new player. The games online can be VERY competitive. There are a bunch of guide you can read to brush up on your skills. Read Them!

The manual is not that good. It does explain some differences between units types but very briefly. The only thing good about the manual is the last page(the back cover) has all the shorcut keys maped to a keyboard. Start using some of these shortcut keys. They can help a lot in a multiplayer match.

Use your offensive and defensive unit abilites. They are key to survival and winning a firefight. Flank your enemies and surprise them. Sometimes in multi when an enemy has came all the way to your dropzone, they know where your units are going to come from(usually they have owned everyone). Move you're drop zone far away from that area and go around and surprise them.

Dont be so gungho on your units! If you're losing a firefight, learn to retreat. Even though your reinforcement points are refunded when units are destroyed, they come slowly. So a tactical retreat is always prefered than loosing all your units.

Learn to harnest the power of tactical aids! A great armor player will be helpless if you place a strike so perfectly it decimates his entire force. Its all about timing! Once i placed a precision art strike ahead of this large group of armour. I silap agak the timing and he passed my strike area. The countdown was in 5 Seconds to the strike when out of the blue this fella decided to turn his forces and move back. He moved back into the strike zone back and timing was quite perfect!!BOOM!!!LOL... The poor sod wouldn't have seen that coming...hahahaha

Those are some tips...i can go on and on...Feel free to ask any questions if you're unsure of anything.

my fren borrowed me his copy and let me test
and i can only use medium settings for a rig with e6600 and 8800gts 320mb....

what resolution r u playing at? even 8800ultra struggling to play at max settings.

oh well, i'm not alone in this
even ppl with 8800gts 320 slied also having problem playing at high settings, not to mention very high
i supposed i'm also limited by the gc's ram

yeah read u need at least 512mb or a 640mb gts

then 8600gt is hopeless?

Nope I have spare 8600GTS on my second rig and it plays just fine on Medium to Mid-high a bit with Bloom and most enchantment on. Graphic is . A 8600GT should have have no problem performing a bit lower.

From what I heard the ATI 1950 Pro doesn't seem to like this game, people are reporting getting 11-15 FPS even on Low . This game is more optimized for Nvidia cards.

Hey guys...Im playing using a 7600GS...you CAN play the game with and older graphic card...

Just dont expect to be playing every single brand new game at 1280X1024(which BTW is also my LCD's native resolution).

Thats so true but my com lags playing this game on E6300 GF7600GT 256 pc800 1 gig. Damn even the top gc cant run this game on high I wonder if the up comming 8900 can run this well , is 8900 better than 8800 btw?

This game engine is very heavy. I have 2 buy extra 2GB of memory upgrade for my system to run in medium settings

From the benchmark, mine is 30 fps @ 1280x1024 medium settings.

You double click and nothing happened right ? It happens to my friend as well. Probably the driver wasnt updated.
