if got muhammad xxxxxxx bin xxxxx, put muhammad only suffice for 1st name

last name bapak name only without bin also can

others will regard as middle name

But when want to travel overseas, they ask 1st name middle name last name

So 1st name legally is muhammad

But u can tell people to call u by ur middle name

no not correct la... your fathers name is your fathers name, not yours.. malay mana ada last name.

or is it the other way around?

btw.. no such thing as malay name in most example here..
these all arab name..

malay name would be like melur, melati, anggerik, mawar, perkasa, gagah, muda,

not even those zakiah rokiah zainab zainal amir husin hasan ali abu bakar omar <-- all arabs
