Came across some jackass today while doing SOS.
They will attack you when you trying to carve a monster just so you dont get the loot until the timer runs out.
Luckily i was actually done looting by that time.

Uh guys, why am I getting many guild cards? What is that for?

Have to wait for the patch, the patch will not allow players to interrupt other player's carving.

Guild card is like other player's progress card. You can see their achievements, hunting records, weapons used etc. It like giving ppl your business card. Its for fun only.

Its not as useless as someone claims. The guild cards also allows you to use other player's Palico's in your tailrider's safari. Also sometimes you might see a palico when you're out hunting. Those palico's that appear are based on the guild cards you receive.

Lol, most of the tail rider just got 1 shot pwned by HR big monster.
I really doubt their usefulness. I m still stuck on HR anjanath.. tried several attempts already. that nasty fire breathing Barney. XD

Just collect it for achievements "Collect 50 guild cards".
Or find a partner. Send and delete a guild cards 50 times.

Not that tailrider. The one you send out on missions from your home. Those can help you farm mats you're too lazy to farm yourself. It's useful.

Well to be honest, the materials they collect is not that great anyway. I've stopped using it after like the 10th time.

You need to pay research points for their services.
What I saying is the tailrider which you encountered during quest/expedition. The tail rider from the guild card are mostly weak & not really useful to me. But I like the Grimalkynes as tail rider especially equip with coral orchestral. This really helps, they don't attack alot as they are weak.

There are some equipments that require specific items that can get only from this.

Lol at noobs saying Palico is not useful.
