Cleared story, and now starts the real endgame.. I like the new stuff there is after the story. Even have more new monsters to fight

Thought of starting this game, is it a bit too late?

If straight go for ice borne, do i need to buy both ice borne and the original version?

U need to complete the base game then iceborne.
But should be easier since now base game have the defender weapon for quick progression.

Misinformation. Base game is never free. So you will need to pay for both base and Iceborne.

May i know, what thus icon status mean? Every time i attack it will reduce my health.

Safijiva set bonus. You lose hp each attack but u regain 1 mega pot's worth of hp after 10 attacks that land on monster. While your weapon is out u also gain 40% affinity.

anybody using steam to play using ps4 controller? How to change the setting to PS4, they keep using Xbox on my interface

You cannot go for wireless on dualshock 4 controller. You need to plug USB cable to connect your DS4 controller in order to get PS4 interface buttons. If you play in wireless with bluetooth connection, it will remap your ds4 controller as a Xbox controller. That's why keep showing Xbox interface buttons.
