hi guys,

old time hunter here, played many of the mh series on ps2 and ps hand-held.

from what i can see in all the videos it seems the monster nowadays dont bleed at all... which is a big disappointment. So i am wondering if i should buy the ps4 version or wait for the pc version hoping there will be some kind of external mod to bring back the blood fountain effect.

will ps4 version be able to be modded to have this effect? how likely will pc gets this type of mod?

also would like to know if pc will be able to join ps4 games or not.

Blood is turn off in trailers and YouTube videos. The actual game has blood.

Newbie here and I read comments and watch YouTube videos to know about it. But, seriously no blood turns ppl off?

As of now, no crossplay between PS4 & PC announced. PC version will be released after PS4/Xbox.

Might as well say this, all future DLC is FREE. Can Cross play with other regions eg. Malaysia, Japan & US

well the blood makes it alot more 'real', last time there is no monster hp bar or dmg number, u can only estimate how much dmg you are doing by the amount of blood spew from monster. so old hunter tend to get kind of attached to the effect.

Ic.. I only played MHXX not sure about the blood effects as the monster lowhp indicator

There is no monster HP bar in MHW. You can also turn off DMG number.

Really put a test for your observation, eh?

Oh ya, I'm kind of new to Monster Hunter and Monster Hunter World might be the first for me. However, I'm planning to play it offline and will it be as rewarding as playing it online? I mean at least can clock around 100 hours out of it. It's more like action RPG, right?

Yes, action rpg without leveling system. Only can upgrade your armor and weapons for yourself & palico. Very dependent on your items and your skills but should be accessible for all level of gamers. That's the intention of capcom. You can play offline but you'll miss out
Online coop with another 3 players. There will be online events too by Capcom. Free future updates which you need to download anyway. Try out the beta in December.

For me, it's the coop experience. If single player might as well play DMC, bloodborne, dark souls(have coop too), God of war, spiderman, horizon zero dawn

Honestly, the only game that's worth playing is Bloodborne. Unfortunately, there's no news about Bloodborne 2. Yeah, the games I'm interested (and playing) are Bloodborne and Horizon Zero Dawn. I wanted to give Dark Soul a try but feels like not my type of game.

Well, at least Palico seems cute. laugh.gif What do they do around? Giving free health potions? Giving assistance to fight with monster? I saw one paddling around a lake or something. laugh.gif Anyway, I'm looking forward to the total hours. If it's 80 - 100 hours (single player mode) then it'll will be a first day buy for me. At the moment, it definitely caught my attention and looking forward for it.

Oh ya, the Monter Hunter series has been under my eyes for quite some time but mostly are for online (correct me if I'm wrong) and that's the reason why I didn't purchase the game. sweat.gif

Yes, that's what palico do. I believe to finish high ranking quests, side quests and get the best armor & weapon 80-100 hours may not be enough unless you're lucky with drop rate . At least that's what I know from reading online MH fans posts. If you're bored playing sword, can try axe, bow or Lance.

MH for handheld & consoles Mostly can play both offline/online, exception like MMO server for PC in China.

One more thing, the MH community is friendly compared to Dota due to the coop vs pvp nature. There's a MH Malaysia FB group that's active. Youtubers like Gaijinhunter & arekzz are popular too for MH

Judging the response online, the west market will be the main target market this time as Japan already has strong fan base.

MHW developers, are active promoting the game in Asia too. If FFXV copies sold for 12 million upon released, I bet MHW will be more.

single player is ok, but monster hunter has always been a co-op experience. that's where the game truly shines.

u can play the whole story quest alone, but the post game content is the one u should be aiming for as those are the end game armors and weapons, and these end game armors and weapons from those difficult monster are not easy to do, and usually requires a team to kill it.

As a mh player b4, i can share my experience to u. You won't have trouble doing all the story quest. I am predicting around 30-40 hours depending on the story mode and how long it took for u to farm weapons/armors from those monster. But to get those post content powerful armors and weapons including all 14 types weapons, it will take another around 40 - 60 hour. 40 hours on main story, and another 40 hours on post content, it will be around 80 hours or more.

Do not forget mh developers always have event quest where by if u complete these event quests, u will get event armors, and these events quest again requires a team to do it as it is not easy to do.

If u looking forward to a single player experience from this game, u only just scratching the surface, coz it won't get u near anywhere near the end. Unless u want to prove u can hunt those monster alone even though it requires a team, then i got nothing to say lol.

TL;DR Monster Hunter is always have been, and always will be a co-op game, and that's where the game truly shines.

The hours for single player mode are good enough if it's around 80-100ish hours. Yeah, it should be rewarding for those going through co-op mode via online. I have my priorities and it should be sufficient for me to go single player mode.

Thanks for sharing!

Nice! I can just wait for a while for reviews (single player mode) and it won't be late for me to buy it after CNY. laugh.gif Thanks again.
