Playing this game slow and steady. I prefer taking my time enjoying the hunt, rather than some people rushing towards end game content.

Exactly what I am doing right now. Start playing this since July. Now still HR40. HR isnt important anyway unless you want brag or stuff. There is HR150 random guy respond to my SOS and still noob. So Higher HR doesn't mean pro, lower HR also doesn't mean newbie.

There is also a speedrunner. What I don't get when you beat super tough AT monsters within less than 4 minutes. Like where is the fun? I rather take my sweet time beating them around 10-20 minutes. The older series major quests are always at brink of 50 minutes completion time. When I think about it World is the first MH game feel too easy and convenient, lot of stuffs removed and new stuffs added, like the ability to change armors/equipments at camp site.

Indeed. I just finished the story quest last night, thought the storyline was longer, oh well. With that said I got pawned by the final boss, die lots of times like a damn noob. Guess I must polish my skill a lot more. Lucky my HR isn't high so I don't feel really embarrassed lol

yes, once in a while, can still tolerate that however. but im using og ps4 on wifi, so its a bit slow bandwidth speed wise eventhough my maxis fibre isnt that slow (300mbps). The most frustrating is DC while hunting bangwall.gif , not all the time though.

It’s like most of the time for me. I’m on WiFi too. Perhaps I’ll try using LAN and check it out.

That's challenging. I used to be like that in the past monster hunter series
Now old ady just want to lay back and relax while knocking down all those monsters.

Very challenging when go against the last boss. Basically you will 1 hit die when the "in rage" boss hit you. You have to avoid confrontation with her when she is in rage. LoL. I think I spend almost 3 days, more than 20 times in order to go thought the quest with SOS.

I feel your pain bro. Its just that I'm quite lucky to have reliable teammates and some had felyne insurance activated. Damn ulti suddenly the ground becomes wobble then boss gives u one hit K.O. move.

Didn't watch any videos of the last boss, so didn't know beforehand how it looks like, how it attacks and how to fight it.

I soloed the last boss using my original MHW endgame HR armour & charge blade with 5 mins remaining on 1st try.

Just fainted only 1 time using survival experience from facing Extreme Behemoth.

Leveling up Guiding Lands from level 1-5 doesn't take that long but from 6-7 takes forever.

Just fought lunastra level 6 in guiding lands. How can it spam supernova like three times in a row? Does it ever happen to Lunastra in lower rank as well?

waaahhh... The game sounds extremely grindy. Has it become harder with the Iceborne? I left this game after Lunastra and even back then I found it extremely time-consuming.

Depends. If your aim is just to end the story quest then it won't take long (probably 2 weeks of playing?), but to enjoy the game to its fullest is the end game content where the grinding part starts. Its grindy, but very fun nonetheless imo.

yes, I saw everyone rise their MR so fast. I was just reached MR111 last night but most of them above MR150. Some of them their name turned to yellow after reached to MR200 (i'm still with purple name).

I have no time to play in the morning time because I need to go for work. My only free time is night time after came back from work or public holiday and Sunday. Every night I play until 2am. Then wake up at 6.20am in the morning then go to work. Usually I can't get enough sleep, so I just take a nap in the office when boss was went out.

If you say you want to hunt the monsters in master rank with your previous high rank weapons and armors. Sure it will quite difficult because your attack and defense are still too low. Therefore, you need to repeatedly farm the specific monster several times to collect enough materials. To make yourself a master rank weapon and armor as fast as possible in order to advance to next mission. After you equipped with full set of master rank weapon and armor, you will feel yourself is much more stronger and will feel much more comfortable to hunt the monsters in master rank.

You can reach to more than 900+ defense in master rank, if you play with hunting horn. Your defense can reach up to 1100+ after buff and drink defense boost. Since hunting horn is a healer, you should get speed eating lv3. With a defense of 1100+ and speed eating lv3. You will find that the monsters usually are hardly to kill you.

Some armors in in master rank can even boost up your skill to higher level, for example "Free Meal" previously got only 1 level. Now in iceborne DLC, the master rank armor can boost your "Free Meal" to lv. 3. Therefore you can get 75% chance to consume a free potion. Another skill such like "Slugger", previously is lv3 but now with master rank can boost up to lv 5. So if you are holding hammer, you can stun the monster much easier with slugger lv5.

Thanks for the explanation, i really appreciate it. lol! When i was playing, I mained a hunting horn. And i think when I left the game after defeating Lunastra, I was about RANK 120++. lol. I left cause it was so grindy!!

Word of advice though, you shouldn't sacrifice your sleep just for a game, it will kill your enjoyment because you will be too tired to concentrate!

Not that hard actually, I was passed the last boss at second try by SOS. Mostly I went into SOS to help others but most of the time mission failed is caused by the leader (i know). Also the main reason that why failed in the missions are caused by the average attack power of the whole team are not strong enough.

Another main reason why will fail the mission is caused by some player did not bring enough potions. You need to bring farcaster to the combat, otherwise nobody can heal you. Unless you are lucky enough to meet a healer who are join into the SOS missions.

One of the best solution to avoid that Shara Ishvalda ultimate skill is use "farcaster" immediately during it begin to cast it's ultimate skill. Otherwise, you need to run to its behind as fast as possible during it is casting it's ultimate skill. Just try to avoid run to the edge side because I was fainted once before. So my only best way is run forward to Shara Ishvalda and hide into it's behind.

So if you not sure what to do to avoid it's ultimate skill, just use farcaster then immediately bring you back to camp to backup potions, ammos and anything. Also remember to bring farcaster again before you go back to fight.

Always remember that, farcaster is your life saver.
