I was moving house and so I stash my sonic gear speakers out there in my store for a few years. Now I want to connect it back to my TV I hear some static noise whenever I turn up and down the hardware volume knob. Is there anything I can do to solve it?

I connected the cable from satellite speaker to my subwoofer that has white stripe black cable to negative terminal of subwoofer and the other to the positive (full black, no stripe). Is this connection correct? Forgot which one is the correct connection already.

that means I pasang terbalik already... could this be the source of the static? will it damage the TV ah? Cuz when I on, even though on 3/4 volume the sound is quite soft...

try turn on the speaker w/o source see if the static is produced... some speakers by default has static already. have you tried with mp3 or phone?

I tried it with laptop seems like ok. No Static.

I tried Headphones with TV. Ok also. Speakers to TV not ok rclxub.gif . And the volume when connected to the TV is terribly soft.(even when both are maxed out at TV and speaker control. Softer than TV speaker volume at 50%)

If you connect computer speakers to TV, do you usually use the headphone jack located at the side of the TV or other connectors?

anyway I tried swapping the stripe and non-strip cable to the L+ and L- at the back of the subwoofer, seems like no difference.

sometimes TV had static in it.
mine does have them.
it's either because the TV signal is bad or the TV just had a shitty soundcard/DAC/whatever you call it sweat.gif

and

I normally plug them through audio out via RCA (with that you'll end up with fixed volume) (change the volume using your speaker)
Headphone plug seems too weak in my case.

Oh TV will become fixed volume if I use RCA out? Then, do I need to manually mute the TV then?

Bro Cuteoz,

Currently, I'm using Edifier S2000 and i like the sound it produce smile.gif Already 4 years still in perfect condition. Edifier spk always demand good SC, if u use low end SC, it will produce lousy sq. I'm getting older now and cannot tahan the boom boom sound anymore that y i bought S2000 smile.gif

I listen to S330d before, the S330d will produce diff sq in diff shop, some good & some bad due to the source sad.gif, if u want clear mid and high, go for this but if u want bass, the S330d might not suite u because it produce solid bass rather than boom boom bass like AL. Just my opinion not offend smile.gif

I owe Eacan, AL, SG and etc speaker before i switch to Edifier.
Why i don't recommend SG is i feel they r not honest to customer, if they can give fake tweeter on their low end series, I doubt they will provide u good components in their mid range series???
I feel SG is most focus on thinking way to earning your hard earn $$ than produce good sq sad.gif

Just my opinion, no offend smile.gif
