Dear Team Sonicgear,
My Sonicgear Tatoo Duo 2 satellites have been blown out my lightning. I am currently looking for a pair of replacement satellites for my set.
May I know where I can find Sonicgear spare parts in KL and if possible let me know the price?
Thank you very much!

I think i'm pretty sure the amp still works. When i crank up the volume, the amp still thumps but the sats give grainy sound. Maybe the surge in current was not too great until frying the amp.
I just wish to know if the sats are available separately. If the price is too expensive, then i'll consider buying a new system
thanks!

because as far as I know speaker drivers don't die as easily as amplifier.
second question, are you sure the grainy sound comes from speakers?
because grainy sound normally comes from loose connections or a quarter-fried amp

Oh i see.. so it's possible that the amp is causing the grainy sounds! As far as I know, there aren't any loose connections.
I guess it might be hard to determine which is causing the problem. Thinking that the amp is the only part that draws power from the wall socket, it makes sense that the amp should be the most damaged in the event of a surge.
Well i guess i might as well get a new system than risk it. Sigh... my short-lived SonicGear
Thanks anyway!

Please do call our service center? (03-7803 6703) If it's past warranty you could still get the spare parts and our technicians can give you a more accurate quote. Also, it would be much better to let our technicians evaluate what the problem is before you decide you want only certain spare parts, they've had years of experience with testing and troubleshooting, we really think you should let the professionals give you a conclusion.
On a side note: Thanks power911 for trying to help out. =) appreciate it. We've been rather busy lately with the preparations for a new series of gear. So the replies may be a tad slow. But when it boils down to technical problems, do call us and let us help you work it out.
Cheers,
Team SonicGear
