Anyone who's holding siacoins? May I know why it's so popular? Based on its tokens in circulation, if it manages to reach current Ether's market cap, siacoin will be worth $1.30 which is around 146x its current price. Is this the potential that people are seeing?

Just the statement "dump your money in and it is 0% losses" is pretty loud and clear that this is something you should avoid at all costs.
No investment in this world gives you guaranteed profits indefinitely, and without any effort on your part.
Anyway, Ethtrade is a known scam and even Bank Negara Malaysia has issued a warning on it.
When in doubt, always refer to your best friend, Uncle Google.

Cryptocurrency transaction on online exchanges are instant.
There are no clearing times like buying stocks, and no "buyers' remorse" period or cooling off period, and all transactions are permanently irrevocable.

For Singaporean bank account holders, I've heard some good reviews about Gemini.
You can find out more information about it.

Ecobit is also a scam right?

So far, not that I know of.
The only legit company related to cryptocurrency in Malaysia is the XBit Asia exchange.
*
But they were acquired by Luno right? Luno is originated from South Africa iirc. Maybe XBit will use the money to build another crypto company.

No, there are no clearing times for buy/sell transactions, as I mentioned before.
What I meant by sending transactions, is when you want to sent your coins from one address to another, like from the exchange to your hardware wallet.
During times of congestion, after you send it from the exchange, it may take some time before it appears in the recipient's wallet, for example.
Huh? I've not heard that XBit Asia was acquired by Luno?
When was that?
Or you mean BitX instead?
XBit Asia was founded by two Malaysians.
Legit as in it is a legally registered company in Malaysia (Sdn Bhd), started by two Malaysians.

Dang! I confused BitX with XBit laugh.gif

It's exactly the same as buying, just in reverse.
Thanks for the feedback, I will see how I can incorporate this remark in the first page.

Since there are really many ways of buying and selling in other currencies, our first page is focused on information for Malaysians only, i.e. using Ringgit Malaysia.
In Malaysia, there is no way to sell/cash out altcoins directly into RM, only bitcoin is possible at the moment (unless you are selling direct to a buyer).
Send your bitcoin to a local exchange, sell it on the exchange, and withdraw in RM to your local bank account.
*
What's a safe way to sell directly to buyer?

In the long term, it is hoped that cryptocurrency prices will go higher that it has ever been. Many coins will fail but some might just be like bitcoin.
*
I believe the crypto scene has much room to grow but none of the current coins can grow 3 million times like Bitcoin did, although 1000x is something more idealistic and realistic at the same time. We won't know which coin will make it so it's good to diversify and most probably 90% of the coins that we chose will fail, so we just need to hit one coin that makes us that 1000x return, covering the losses and making us generous profit in years to come.

Logged into Coinhako today and found that my Ether has been stolen!

I don't remember transferring out my coin and no one else has access to that account. What should I do next? I've already emailed Coinhako asking them to check access log for my account.

This is the transaction.

If you have kept your coins in an exchange's wallet, it can get stolen.

- Tezos is liquidating funds! https://tezos.ch/diversifying-the-portfolio...ezos-foundation
"To best serve the interests of the Tezos community, we intend to gradually diversify our position by slowly selling some (but not all) of these holdings over the coming months and purchasing a conservative portfolio of cash, stocks, bonds, and precious metals. This will ensure that our organization is resilient in good times, and bad times.
...
Our first trade happened yesterday, when we sold 1,587 ether at a price of $163.82, netting about 250,000 CHF for the Tezos Foundation."

What a scam lol. No different with any fiat fund management.

Feel free to correct/discuss. No time to scrapping entire internet.  icon_rolleyes.gif

That's why I don't believe in coins that are solely for investment purpose. I prefer coins that actually provide something practical to users. It's inevitable that cryptoland is attracting wall street parasite wolves in droves thinking that they can also treat this as another wall street for making money. While we can make money in cryptoland, its main function is not to make money, but to change the world.

No matter what....I will take the bulls by the horns & hodl till the price goes up again. That's my bitcoin investing strategy for now.

That's pretty much me. I don't touch it after I buy it. I still follow the talks and the news, but I still don't touch my coins. Bull or bear, only affects the short/mid term traders. I could be wrong, but I'm banking on the probability that crypto is long-term bullish. Long term I mean a few years. I could still be wrong, but after seeing how blockchain can disrupt existing systems, the probability that I'm right is worth the risk I'm taking. smile.gif

To those using Bittrex, is there a way for us to check at what price we purchased a specific token? I can't find it in wallet/order history.
