Usually the private keys for exchanges wallet is not own by the account holder.

I can agree with this, Sometimes user with sales thread in the signatures just gonna spam nonconstructive post just to make people notice their sell thread.

Not really a healthy and constructive things for this thread development

No you cant transfer mew wallet to ledger nano s.

Yes you need to transfer the coin/token in the mew to your ledger wallet,
If its erc20 token better pair the ledger nano s with mew.(if you use the eth chrome extension you cant see the erc20 token)

If its only eth just use the eth chrome extension.

Yes required few gas. Less than 0.01eth
