they already done something like Touch N Go wallet system, it's already up and running.
guess what, their main goal is to whack the remittance market (Western Union) and such.

if u held their tokens, u will get something similar to ETH GAS,
but due to it's token amount(which is super small) if they manage to chew up Western Union market, the returns will be super high.

whether they get to pull that off is another story

I got many coins in my own watchlist, I haven't got the time to go in everything in details.

OMG is the closest u can get to a working wallet environment, and even Thailand finance ministry vouch for their products. so they are very solid.
imagine a company since 2014. working office across 3 countries, working wallet, vouch by government just worth $8 ??
then they only have 100mil tokens.

when they are close to something like western union remittance, then u see see how this tiny lizard soar to dragon.

my guess is they are building the wallet ecosystem first n those rewarding system later. adoption is a much more important edge than the reward. why is that ??
Like TenX, there is another company offering the same product next month (MONACO). so TENX just reign for like 2 months ??

if u would want to make the same running smoothly eco system like OMG, it might take you years from scratch.
these people are not your typical pump and dump mentality,
who ICO when products are ready ?? u ask yourself

again, this thing ICO when they have ready products, running payment gateway, and they already started up since 2014, funded by venture capitalists.

once they can offer cross border payment, i tell u this coin will be in triple digits, because they successfully chewed off remittance market share.

OMG is a mother of all payment gateway.
and there are no competitors with them.
fukking amazing. no competitors doing the same thing

so it still comes back to market adoption n costs. which they are aggressively doing now. I read they acquired payment gateway in Thailand just recently

if that whole market is already using your payment gateway after u factor in the time to build the system, register all merchants, regulatory works and such would u still want to insist on own terminal ?? might as well integrate with them n get all access to their pool

I list down big thing on OMG
1. remittance
2. wallet
3. integration with other wallet
4. payment gateway platform ( companies can use this to build their rewards system, or own membership tokens, all linked to OMG and linked back to whatever is linked to OMG)
5. banking using merchant (withdraw money with whatever shops. every merchant u can withdraw cash)

let me explain why they got it right with this strategy.

they are creating ETH type of platform for payments.
everybody can use their platform to build

let's say u are Shangri-la or TuneHotel group or other big companies.
u want to build your own payment gateway.

so u use OMG system, cuz it's cheaper, more stable, faster, and better in every sense because they already running in billions of dollars and already proven working.

then all your chain hotels got own special membership card, then u can immediately offer ur hotel deals with 50,000 merchants ( think of it like VISA network), and those 50,000 merchants can offer u back some deals.

so even without the conglomerates to link it, the ecosystem itself will grow larger n larger, because they not only ask u to integrate with them for nothing, u will be using their platform to build yours cuz it's proven, cheaper n faster and u yourself get access to bigger pool of markets.

u build simple membership card with point reward system, next that card can be used for all 50,000 merchants across whole nation.
then as this grow across borders, it will be bigger n bigger

I understand your angle that Alipay might not want to integrate, but it also gives them faster n greater access to whole ecosystem.
so if I were alipay I will most likely buy up OmiseGo if they have the biggest access to SEA, if I opt not to integrate.
cuz to build something this size, time is not on your side.

u see why alibaba bought up lazada ?
cuz they dunt have to build it from scratch, takes so much time.
pay more and it's yours.

so either way the real value is in the ecosystem. whoever owns the ecosystem shall be the winner
