mind to elaborate?
buy ETH when BTC is Up, does it meant you will get less satoshi?
*
when BTC is up, and ETH cant keep up, u are using less satoshis to buy more ETH.
when BTC stabilze/dips and ETH goes up in satoshis, sell your ETH to get more BTC. u need less ETH to buy BTC

I have high hopes for Verge.
Let's hope it performs in 2018 as hoped.

Totally missed Tron.
Was sitting on the fence on it since the airdrop......did some reading and research but unfortunately procrastinated too long to make my purchase. sad.gif
*

Yeah......oh well, I suppose we can't have everything.
I have no more money to invest into crypto, and all my existing crypto holdings are quite distributed already, so I am not willing to sell any other tokens to buy Tron, so no choice, I will have to let this go.
There's always another good project around the corner.
*
yep. there's always a new potential coin around the corner.

QUOTE(lingkin @ Dec 18 2017, 11:18 AM)
Yo yokoloco, how do you participate in the airdrop? Is it Binance just randomly choose to airdropping the coins into some accounts or all accounts respectively? Or there were some prior requirement to enter?
*
no idea honestly. i just saw it in my binance 1 day, got the airdrop haha. didnt bother with it until it mooned this few days.

QUOTE(blue16 @ Dec 18 2017, 11:32 AM)
Ahh, got it, i was thinking the relation between fiat and cryto.
from your point of view, it is pair.
*
yeah, its easier to see in satoshis instead of fiat or u might as well just leave it in BTC vs fiat.

eth was absolutely not stable over the past 2 weeks. while the value of bitcoin to myr is stable within the 76-78k range,
eth vs btc shot up n down between 0.025 to 0.043 range.
*
not looking at just the past 2 weeks. based on the past, it is relatively stable price wise in this very volatile market.

clever-nya. bitcoin has been rising constantly, so of course u have made profit no matter u are holding btc or eth. we all have.

let me pose a simple alternative scenario to you. if u had never traded eth , and instead hold btc exclusively, would your net worth be higher today ?
*
trade in satoshis, you would end up with more.
if you use BTC to buy ETH @ 0.03,
sell at 0.04 back to BTC, u would have more BTC. x the price of current BTC price.

trade in fiat, you will seem to make a profit, but losing on BTC

If I didn’t get the 2FA reset I wouldn’t even have known I still had funds in there. Last time I logged in was back in 2014.
*

i dont use the app.

anyway, what i can conclude from these trades is , you are using btc to accumulate eth. because eth has been weakening against btc over the past week.

BUT,

if u had held on to your btc since 14th dec until today, it would have been MORE profitable. because btc risen from 72k myr on 14th, to 78k myr today.
*
he is accumulating BTC by trading with ETH.
green = use BTC buy ETH
red = sell ETH to BTC

he gain more BTC at the end of the day. and x that by RM78k today.

Any one know how to sell off the decimal left in Binance?

I have 0.94700000 ADA stucked there
*
cant. have to avoid decimals in the first place by using BNB coins.
another way is to buy the decimals to topup. buy like 1.053 ADA, while using BNB coins.
you can get back the round number to sell later. lol

QUOTE(jjjwei @ Dec 18 2017, 05:15 PM)
I was trying to understand the strategy but too noob liao. Can you please explain how to use this strategy trading altcoin/BTC pair to accumulate more BTC ? For example, if trading ETH/BTC pair, is it like ETH drop, I sell BTC to buy, and when ETH rise, I sell ETH to buy BTC ?

just looking at the movement of Alt ?
*
example :
when the rate is 0.03 ETH/BTC = u buy ETH with BTC. it means that you use 0.03 BTC to buy 1 ETH
when the rate rises to 0.04 ETH/BTC = u sell ETH to BTC, means you are selling your 1 ETH for 0.04BTC.
so you just made a 0.01BTC from that trade.

look at the price movement in satoshis, not USD.

QUOTE(Flaxnot @ Dec 18 2017, 05:29 PM)
I may be wrong but I don't think there is a set-in- stone strategy for what they are doing. They're essentially just trading the margin which in itself is a risky game to play in an already risky market.
So while I do respect traders and the balls they have, I think it's a little misleading for them to label trading the margin as a surefire strategy to increase their crypto stack when in reality, it has the potential to be devastatingly damaging to your holdings.
*
yep, its risky of course. you could sell and it keeps mooning instead. then you will end up with less when u forced to buy back your position at a higher price. those who dont want to trade on these margins, just buy and hodl. sell when you want/need to

yep, is fine. everyone have their own risk appetite. end of the day, if you not comfortable to invest, especially in ICO, no harm stepping back and see how it pans out.
I invested in 0.23eth in, not really a big portion and see how it goes. in the end, ICO is high risk, high reward. it basically just trusting some startup to hopefully earn more for you.

*
haha. shit, sorry I wasn't clear all this while. forgot to mention this.
Satoshi is decimal value of the bitcoin
bitcoin can broke down into 8 decimals, 0.00000001.
crypto ppl call it satoshi or sats, for short.

1 satoshi = 0.00000001
10 satoshi = 0.00000010
100 satoshi = 0.00000100

etc etc
