Hi guys, any of you are using paid or free VPN to access free contents from China?

I'm very interested to get one for my Mi Box 3 Pro.

Thanks.

Mi Box 3 is slick. I'm using a paid vpn. sometimes free ones work too but they offer no encryption. the good thing about freebies is that if one doesn't work, you can always google another. opera, hma and hss are some of the free options though there are others, not to mention there are occasions when some might work and some might not. in case of paid options, ivacy, pure and express are some options. ivacy seems to be a decent option for now because of some summer sale it's hosting. 1 year plus another year under 50.

The other thing is, most of the freebies are proxies regardless of what they say. The reason is same, encryption but you can't really complain when they're free. biggrin.gif

I notice the tv streaming apps like TV Cat (电视猫) are not working in MiBox recently. Is it because Unifi block it?

many possibilities.

but i think it is TM problem - either undersea cable problem, works going on or some say tm-china traffic quota exceeded.

no one really knows, TM/Unifi never explains.

not the first time, it used to happen 3-4 times a year.

I think the providers has changed the source to Geoblock. Beevideo is facing the same problem and Beevideo can watched if you used DNS changer to China IP.

if u know android, u know how it works, how to install apps.

the way it works is much the same as any android with some differences - android is built inside the tv and is google androidtv, not generic android found in boxes; the navigation is a little diff from some apps whether u use mouse or remote.

if yr tv is ue630x, u can read this, many users here:
https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3811168/+1200

u should also read these:

kodi:
https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3943906
streaming apps:
https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3115619/+320
androidbox:
https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4200167

u have posted yr question in a wrong thread.

best to read up those threads, then ask the relevant question in the right thread.
