hye..seem interested to do some woodworking diy so i start to Invest in some power tool. here is my list : (picture maybe later)
1. milwaukee m12 fuel impact drill
2. milwaukee m12 hackzall
3. electric brad nailer
4. maxpower orbital slander

now im interested to have power8 tool anybody can give review about it?
*
I did consider this for a while last time then decided to spend more to get proper tool instead.
Here is the link to amazon review. Read it and decide yourself.
https://www.amazon.com/CEL-CEL-WS3E-WS3E-Po...p/dp/B00PCDYURE

Since you already have Milwaukee 12v system, might as well continue with Milwaukee brand 12v system.
These are the tasks normally required when woodworking using plywood or s4s timber.

Measuring
I assume you already have the basic ruler and right angle square...

Cutting
1) Cut straight line - ???
2) Cut curves - ??

Drilling
1) Drill holes - M12 impact drill
2) Drill into wall - ???. Do you plan to drill wall?

Shaping
1) Dado - optional
2) Edge trimming - optional

Assembling
1) Nailing - Your nailer
2) Screwing - M12 impact dril

Finishing
1) Finish sanding - orbital sander
2) Edge Sanding - optional
3) Painting - painting lor

Since you ask about power8 then I assume you will have at least rm2.6k budget available.
Cut straight line :
Get a circular saw and a straight guide would do.

Cut curve line: get a jigsaw

You can consider milwalkee's M12 offerings to streamline the battery system. Save the additional money for future upgrades like router, table saw etc.
12V system should be enough for small DIY job, unless you frequently deals with 1 to 2 inch thick wood.

Did a quick search in Lazada, not many Milwaukee tool. You might need to consider getting other brand cordless tool.

Try to use the hydroshot to clean my backyard this morning. The battery lasts about 15 minutes.

Suggest you to modify to use the power adaptor instead of battery.

15min use following a 5hr charge is too long. sweat.gif
*
I plan to ship another 2 unit of 2AH battery and a quick charger later. Can't use 4AH batery coz it will make the sprayer feel heavier.
The quick charger will fully charge a 2AH batery in 1 hour.

My dust collector motor start making strange noise today so I think I need to order a blower from taobao soon.
RM500 dust collector really have some crap motor...

How heavy is the sprayer + battery?

Probably the bearing? Turning at high speed with bad aligment will most probably cause the bearing die 1st.
*
I dunno its bearing or not, seems like the motor and fan housing has build up a resonance when running.
I don't remember having that resonance last time.
At first I was thinking maybe its the dust buildup at the fan blade that cause it, but the sound still there after I clean up the blade.

How much would it costs to replace the bearing of a 1hp motor? I doubt that motor is actually 1hp, I check power consumption of the motor using power meter and it only shows 300w.

For the hydroshot weight, the combination I use this morning long nozzle weights 1.6kg including 2AH battery. I did not include the weight of the pipe that dips into the water pail.

This repairing got to DIY. Bearing doesn't cost much. Get the bearing no. and you can buy. Not more than RM30/pcs. (depending size and maker)

The motor with an empty run should run very less watt. Probably less than 1/2 the max motor watt. If it show near max watt, than something mechanical wrong that create resistance.

DIY the battery. smile.gif

Buying another 2 battery is killing with the price.
*
I open up the motor and discover the screw that locks the fan has gone loose. Tighten the fan screw and the motor runs quiet now.
Lucky no big repair required.
I have a feeling the srew will get loose again 6 months later...

For the hydroshot, I am thinking of making an adapter for makita or bosch battery. hmm...

I have GLI18V & FL12.
Looking at the new GLI18V-1900 & GLI18V-300...
GLI18V-1900 looks like a flood light, GLI18V-300 looks like normal standing torch offered by others.

For the uniqueness and compactness I still prefer the FL12.

I am still hoping to get the Bosch GLI12V-80 torch light @ below rm100 ...

I always prefer FL12 for its versatility. Love the magnet and carabiner hook.

The cheapest GLI12v 80 i bought is around rm130++. Nothing unique about this torch. Dont like the bulky body and no brightness mode. I bought it just to make use of my spare batteries...
*
A quick check on taobao also shows the torch light around rm130.
Maybe just wait for year end 11/11 sale...

Well, at least shipping is cheap, just need to wait 1 month. hmm.gif

Just went to CSM section 27 this morning, many items to see and itch about.
They don't have Makita tools on display.

Luckily manage to keep the wallet safe, spend less than RM100.

I was surprise to see the loctite so expensive, one small 500gram bottle rm55. blink.gif

500gram is quite large. LoL

Well, can't find smaller bottle there already. End up getting some other brand medium strength treadlock.
RM12 feels much better on my wallet.

just toy around few new Bosch 18v tools....some of the pricing is so  lust.gif  drool.gif .

@lucifah, now they bring in the 18v bulldog here...pricing cheaper than amazon  shocking.gif got 2 version, ec and non ec
( non ec bulldog pricing with 2 x 18v 3.0ah + charger is so so damn attractive  shocking.gif , below 1k )

the 18v led ( look like robot leg one.. ) the pricing is so good ! less than what i would expected...  drool.gif

the new vacuum with Automatic start-stop power socket system – ( for convenient power-tool dust extraction connection ) is also very  drool.gif .
*
Maybe they start feeling the heat from all the new dewalt and makita products that start selling here.
I end up making my own master-slave switch to let power tool trigger the vacuum.

Btw, do they have solo tool for the rotary hammers?
I don't need so many battery and chargers.

let me leak out this here first hand...bosch will be releasing the 2 in 1 charger ( 12v and 18v ). Malaysia is the first one to get this .. rclxm9.gif
left is the 2 in 1 charger, right one is the existing 18v charger

Damn, just after I've done my charging station, I tot Bosch won't bring in the 2 in one charger.

Btw is Bosch bringing in the REAXX table saw?

will they start selling cheaper GBH18VEC SOLO? I dont need such big as bulldog.

just found this thread.

how did you get the power tool to trigger the slave vacuum?
current detection method?
*
Using current detection method.
The circuit board is bought from china.

I had some picture in previous powertool V1 talking about it.

https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=85117631

Currently using it on my tablesaw/bandsaw & dust collector

ya wo...we are always left behind  mad.gif  mad.gif

anyway this vacuum don't need to use the specific dust bag by bosch, you can use the normal black color garbage bag also ( make sure it's the thicker quality one ) so it's cheaper maintenance too.

i will skip this because all my tools are cordless anyway except router, table saw, miter saw. but the pricing is very tempting drool.gif gonna test play the unit later...
*
I wonder how loud is this vacuum, if it hits 90dba like my karcher then no thanks.

Pls test drive and report here ya...like if connect to sander how it performs, the noise and if they sell optional hose...Does it come with auto filter cleaning or ability to adjust the suction power?

Looking at the new tools, what is the difference between the new GST 18V-LI B and the GST 18V-LI we have?
*
Bosch has a sander hose connector that has a red ring to adjust the suction power. Whether it is included or not I dunno lar...
But should be selling as optional parts.
From the sparepart list that adapter costs RM11, ok lar.
