The description says 4AH battery wor?
If its really 4AH then its a really good deal.
Problem is I don't have use for impact wench.
Those mechanics gonna be happy.

The bosch 2 in 1 charger is a 3A charger. Half the power of existing AL1860 charger. Still ok lar.

spend some time looking at youtube and quite some GAS 15 PS video came up. seems like standard package includes the Bosch click tool connector. RM11 is good price, amazon wants US$15 or above...

I think this one normal paper filter? or HEPA filter? manuals says don't use it to suck beech/oak dust or carcinogenic stuff due to health regulation. Malaysia ada regulation ka?  tongue.gif
*
Looks like it includes that powertool connector. The name is tool sleeve.
Doesn't look like HEPA ready. No mention of the HEPA word anywhere in the manual.
Its ok I can pipe the blower hose to exhaust outside the room. devil.gif

What that 100w min mean? Lower suction mode ?  If so, hope you can check the noise DB on the 100w mode running.
*
I think it means the powertool connected need to be minimum 100w consumption.
Too low power the vacuum's circuit won't be able to remote trigger by the power tool.

Thanks.

Sigh, Thought I can do something late night with more silent vacuum.
*
If the vacuum is brushed motor you can use those high power dimmer to reduce voltage to the vacuum thus make it turn slower = more quiet.
I haven't try this method yet. blush.gif

advisable to invest in their 18v system if budget is not an issue. 18v have more useful tools compare to 12v
let me check with them if you are really keen. anyway ct hardware already listed their new tools in lazada ( their lazada price is cheaper ( RM700 ) than their own website ( RM779 ), maybe uploaded pricing error? faster faster grab it with lazada discount code  drool.gif  ) the others tools is the same pricing, only this vacuum got pricing glitch... brows.gif

product link :bosch gas 15 ps - ct hardware lazada

only 4 units left for this pricing...

example of my purchase if use lazada voucher....using samsung s8 glitch voucher  rolleyes.gif  laugh.gif

Those 10.8v drill has fat handles that doesn't really fit my small hands.
18v's handles is slimmer and better to hold, but 18v tends to have bigger motor and heavier.

I see most battery got balancing circuit wired in, Bosch its too well covered in wrapping can't see it to confirm.

China made Makita clone battery with less complicated control circuit costs 1/3 of original makita battery.

According to the guy, the bosch circuit board is not on the battery. But at the charger side.

So if the battery pack failed, it mean the battery failed.

But others battery with a circuit board in it, if some component spoil, (IC, resistor etc) the whole battery pack failed. Even the battery cell is still good.

The chance of the battery cell spoil is very less than the circuit board. And with the circuit board built into the battery pack, it more expensive.
*
I open my AL1860CV to take a look at inside circuit, not so complicated actually.
Don't understand what those chips in the does tho. haha. tongue.gif

In this case, clone Bosch battery should be relative safe coz Bosch;s battery does not require complicated control circuits like other brands. hmm.gif

i been playing with 18650 batteries, these battery are common. On 18650 also have two type, one with inbuild circuit one without, and both are use for different purpose. The cheap ones that come with circuit protection are as good as useless, it can try your sensitive device.

The cheap ones cannot product sustained high current drawn. Sometime you risk burning the battery if drain are too high to be handle.
*
Sometime I'm thinking, is the clone battery actually 2nd grade battery or just the big brands has damn high markup? (to cover for insurance and their team of lawyers in case the battery blow up).

Coz some of the OEM battery seller claims their 18650 are actually from samsung/sony too. 6 years shop in taobao, with some feedback of battery DOA but non complain the battery is under capacity/under power.

Plus some youtube channel that open up OEM batteries to show the cells are actually the same as original.
Thats the thing that got me thinking... hmm.gif

i try to find some sort of reason to justify my power tools purchase. some good, some are just borderline (the 18v vacuum for example)

btw, i just watched the video ozak posted. quite informative. thanks for sharing

i am quite relieved to see that bosch batteries doesnt fails as frquent as makita

i was contemplating between makita, bosch and dewalt 18v platform before investing on bosch, just because it's easier to buy bosch replacement batteries than others
*
If you can read chinese, go explore those OEM/2nd hand makita bateries in taobao. devil.gif

Went to CT hardware to look for a T10 screw driver. Finally found it, looks like very old stock.
Tested the GAS15PS vacuum, I like the feature and the vacuum is not loud.
But I wonder how much suction will lost after passing through the cyclone.
Attached Image

With the T10 screwdriver, I can open up the ori and clone makita battery to inspect.

Ori makita battery has balancing build in and large circuit board
Clone makita batery has smaller circuit board and no balancing.
Both has temperature probe to prevent overheat.
Attached Image
Ori Makita 18v 4AH RM440
Clone Makita 18v 4AH RM120.

CLone makita use 1 years spoil also worth it. Time will tell...

I never like Stanley tools. Their finishing are rough and not fine. More to medium quality. The grip can give me high torque to push.

That clone battery probably not 4ah. Probably 1/2 of it only. There is no 4ah battery yet in the market.
*
Oops my bad.
The thick Battery at the left is clone 4AH.
The thin battery at the right is ori 2AH.

I have no test equipment to validate their capacity but the thicker battery does lasts much longer than 2AH on a circular saw.

If that 10pcs battery is 4ah, than should be correct. Given it run 5pcs series and 2 set of parallel.

You need some discharge device to check the capacity.

Next time kong liau, can just change the battery to higher capacity. 6ah possible. Even 9ah or 12ah.  biggrin.gif

But you need to use the high discharge type.
*
With my low usage, probably will take a long time to kong... tongue.gif

Have to check with Yushin.

Depend how cheap. Those too cheap will just use non brand type. Which have short charge cycle or lower capacity.

Brand battery will be more expensive. If they want keep it low cost, they will use lower capacity and label it at 2ah.

But fake or Ori, they must use high discharge type. If not will over heat or catch fire.
*
Used the clone battery on my circular saw, doesn't feel the heat at all, a bit warm only.
Never really put the battery under high drain condition, I don't have a grinder. tongue.gif

There is 2 type of battery cell. Normal discharge and high discharge. High discharge battery can discharge as high as 10A. Without heat the battery. Or catch fire.

It is normally use on vaping device. So you want to buy this type of battery, look for vaping people. They sell 100% ori.

For fake battery to achieve higher Amp but using normal battery, they parallel it the battery. So your drill motor require 10A to run, 10/2= 5A each battery discharge. So it won't heat up the battery.

I open the paper wrapping and saw these numbers
A UHG9RX8
035850

No idea what it means
