Make a charger / discharger that can handle 30-50amps, this is to handle cells that likes to go 3.65v when charged at 70amps.
Probably will use arduino nano as voltage monitor and controller.

Don't no leh.

As long as the battery is std, don't care much.

Don't suddenly said green battery cannot use on orange tools. That's fark.  vmad.gif

If I'm not mistaken, for worx, Orange is for home user, Green is for their professional line of products.

Good Morning,

my >10 years B&D 12v battery almost kaput.
I have check out a few batteries from Ali and Shopee but i doubt with the discharge specification.
This is so hard to decide because the drill is fine but the cost of a new battery is very near to getting new lithium drill..

Does anyone know where I can get a reasonable price and reliable replacement battery?
Did anyone try to swap the NiCd to Lithium type?

Thank you.
Picture for reference.

There are people that replace their old powertool nicd battery with 18650 lithium. However all are DIY type.

it is an old NiCd 12V drill using HPB12 Battery.
Battery still available from B&D and it is possible to purchase NiCd battery to diy replace internally. It just the price to get the HpB12 battery is ~RM100 less than getting a new Lithium Bosch. That is why i am seeking to get a reliable NiCd battery locally as the price inc shipping also is not cheap too.

older than this but is a similar series.

Yeah, the charging unit and battery circuit board also need to replace.
The $$$ to replace the battery or upgrade to Lithium is so turn off and the drill unit is still usable...
*
Thats how thing progress lor, as nicd is old technology and the battery will eventually fail.
If you have the skill, you can consider buying semi assembled nimh cell from taobao and replacing it yourself.

Ah yes sorry. I'm not really familiar with the material. Only heard my neighbour say concrete.  sweat.gif  That's what I'm hoping the sifus in here can advise some model for me. Max budget RM 1.5k. Can hammer drill used for screwing? I have so little knowledge about drill
*
With 1.5k budget thats a lot. sweat.gif
You can buy one rotary hammer for drilling holes in brick/concrete and one drill driver for screwing and drilling holes on wood/metal.
Got enough money to use cordless version too haha.

example combo set. flex.gif
https://www.lazada.com.my/products/bosch-18...CyABEgKJd_D_BwE

You will need cordless version if you plan to do things like on the roof, in the ceiling or outside the house where pulling extension cable is a hassle.

Hi sifu sifu sekalian, i need some advice in getting a table saw.
Advice not in term of which brand to get but is it suitable to operate a table saw at the car pourch of a double storey terrace house? Will it be too noisy and get complain by neighbor?
*
I have a table saw too, as long as you don't run the table saw everyday 9am to 9pm I think your neighbor should be fine with it.
I only use my table saw occasionally as I just a hobby DIY user.
