Hong leong target 45 sen http://www.thesundaily.my/news/2017/07/13/...n-hlib-research

Main reason is semiconductor boom, just hope the boom will last.

brothers can you help me out. Vs industry may be executing a right issue soon to launch their China deal.

can someone explain how a rights issue is purchased in Malaysia? I read everything and know the basics of it just that let's just say I hold

6000 shares with vs. they issue me 1 to 3 which means I get 200 shares at a discounted price. so how do I go on buying it on my internet broker?

also if I do not have the money to buy the rights issue will it expire?

add on
never mind, I read the article again. it's the Hong Kong based subsidiary that announced a rights issue which Malaysian VS industry took up the subscription

i dont have any experience on trade right issue,
but my new broker got explain to me..
once a company issue right issue,
u can do something as below..

1. you can sell off the right issue *right issue only offer for the short period of time, after that will be expired..

2. or convert to mother shares
need to submit form for conversion to mother shares

ps* your internet broker also earn your money while you buy / sell,
is their responsible to inform you what you can do,
just ask them for more details.

Nice. I just checked my bank account. Yep, my dividend for Pohuat has been banked in.

BTW, there is nothing wrong with the valuation and fundamental of Pohuat. But for some strange reason, Mr. Market doesn't like it. Thus Pohuat suffers the same fate with stocks like TENAGA.

But who knows, maybe Pohuat will rise next year and I may live to regret selling it. biggrin.gif

wah diversity who you kidding. I been holding vs for half a year now. movement from 1.65 enter price and average every 10cents until it reached 2.06. I would say it will hit 2.1 by this month end and maybe 2.3 within this quarter. 2.8 is crazy talk

Hevea has been amazing. Bought at RM1.29 in mid May, not at RM1.65 (plus RM0.025 dividend received in between). But I seriously think there is lots more value to be unlocked here, even if there may be a pull-back in the near term. I intended to hold this for 12-24 months. But will sell earlier if the price gets hot fast (i.e. RM1.95 by end August, or RM2.35 by end of Dec).

Bumi Armada...I don't know why it's regressing. Tenaga is plodding along. AirAsia has refound some power. Parkson has been hovering at the mid 50sens. Esceramics may come back after the drop from ~RM0.46 last Q. Tan Chong and MMHB are too new in my portfolio (both ~-2%), and these are cyclicals that will take time to turnaround but the payoff in the end should be amazing.

Hi, newcomer here and planning to invest soon. Just wondering which is a better choice for a newbie, to target the cheaper stock and make quick profit or put in REITs?

if u ask like that in forum, anyone could already be so rich.

go do your own homework and analyse reports. there are no free meals. even if we tell u, we won't be 100% right.

if u want compare personal idea and analysis, u are welcome to do so. But just take it as your own info for studies.

This is the year of small cap growth stocks. REIT is doing poorly now partly because of oversupply of office space and too many shopping malls.

Are you planning to be a trader or long term investor? Either way, IMHO it is worthwhile investing in a good investment book first to learn the ropes.

Good luck in your journey!
