Which type of ball valve should I get? Brass or stainless steel?

Plastic definitely useless especially expose. I changed my outdoor plastic to brass

Where do you plan to use it for? I believe both are equally good. From my personal knowledge SS is just coating, the underlining still brass, i have few SS and the top layer came off.

Bro, it's for my indoor tangki valve..

For indoor not expose, use brass lah. No need waste money.

Yes, the bad point is the handle. Mostly using paint to coat. Once scratch off, it rust. The screw too.

This valve is 3/4 size. Need some strength.

When you turn the valve, better hold the pvc pipe.

That look abit unstable the pipe.

3/4" i can handle lah, per my earlier explanation the thing tend to jammed, but after it move is ok.

This one yet to jammed, if it does will need pull the level while holding the pvc.

i believe brass is still the best

Of course can.

What do you mean by conceal into wall? including the valve and expose the level only? I am not sure if there such ball valve with long neck like the brass, without long neck is hard to conceal into the wall without exposing large area. Bass/SS rubber type definitely can because i have few conceal, and just make sure you have access to the nut at the neck, less hassle if need to change the rubber.

Yes only the expose the level.. Because i just check with my contractor he told me if i want to use these type of ball valve, I wont be able to conceal the valve body onto the wall just like our normal stop cork .. Just like what you said the neck is not long enough for the valve to turn after concealing the body..

Yup, as expected. Unless there different design. If don't have just use the normal brass valve with rubber there is proper name for it (maybe is called globe or shutoff valve)

Sifu when you say rubber, the rubber is located at where ? The turn valve there or the threaded inlet outlet piping area?

Inside the valve, have to take out the bigger nut (see the picture, have to take out the nut below the packing washer)

Can ask the hardware shop. My understanding the rubber gasket are common things can be purchase easily.

If you want to conceal into the wall, better use the brass valve. In case of leaking, simply replace the worn off cartridge without hacking the wall. Parts are pretty standard size and easily available too.
