I find the ball valve sometime can jammed especially not turned for sometime.

Just don't get the cheap wan. Or plastic type.

My water tank all use ball valve. Rain and shine and rarely use it. No leak or jam at all.

Ball valve no rubber or anything to replace.

I got the good quality type, maybe is the exposure to the outdoor, it need extra strength  to turn it after sometime not use. After that is ok.

For exposed Indoor use, ball valve will not be nice (I have not see any nice ball valve)
*
Yes, have in the market.

It is because of the handle design very industrial look. If hide away the stop cork, than doesn't matter. If not, have to find a nice wan.

Mine exactly the same, only if need to turn it need some strength after that is ok. Perhaps quality have drop compared to 20 yrs ago product. The top screw also rust, change once before.

Yes, the bad point is the handle. Mostly using paint to coat. Once scratch off, it rust. The screw too.

This valve is 3/4 size. Need some strength.

When you turn the valve, better hold the pvc pipe.

That look abit unstable the pipe.
