Shellac got different colour. Also got clear varnish..ie no colour in itself. so, maintain the ori colour of the door.

Actually, what don't you like about the door? If you just want to make the door look a bit decorative, maybe try using beading ( strips of wood) that you can use on the ori door..make it look like those decorative door from mgf like MaicaDoor.

The wooden door that i want to buy has no paint on it, just piece of wood, with some simple design lar (few usual rectangle shape).

The seller will charge another RM190 for installation + shellec and door knob.

That's y i tot of engaging the seller for installation only. I'll paint it myself with the colour i want..

Like that arrrh...better you tell the boss what colour you want and get them to paint for you. Itu shellac kalau takda skill(I not suggesting you don't have the skill...am assuming the carpenter should have more experience in doing a good job) paint nanti jadi tak smooth, then jialat liao. Kadang, they use some kind of gadget to spray the shellac, then the finish very nice.

aiyoo ... why i m the only person who have problem downloading the excelsheet? Might be my company firewall or something wrong i guess. This time let me go home and try ....
I am also going to come out with a list, so that it can actually forecast how much i need to spend for furnitures & other appliances.

Any of u guys bought anything from cavenzi? The price is unbelievably cheap. And the design is like 'ciplak' from Ikea, probably better.
Just wonder hows the quality? Can last long or not? Thanks.

i went there as well. the quality seems to be okie to me. the wardrobe that they show me can prevent from fire. The salesman actually use the lighter to burn it infront of me ... hahaha ... so scary ... but in fact it don give any burning stain at all.

The sofa is quite cheap and the quality i can say not that bad as well. I even try to sleep on their queen size bed. Very good as well.

And yea, the price is cheap. Probably they are taking goods from China, that's why so cheap?

Eh ... actually i said "i went there as well" actually i m refering to i went to Carvenzi as well. But different branch. I went to the Wangsa Maju branch beside Pizza Hut & KFC one. The samples there are less but i will rate the designs and the price is reasonable. Anyway, at least it suitable for my budget lar .... I m not rich, so definitely i won't go to Rozel or other branded shop lar ... flex.gif

I'm back.. I've fixed the entrance door to my apartment, RM170 including installation but without painting. So i bought 2 pieces of sand paper and one liter of paint, I've done it in less than RM200.

About cavenzi, hmm.. in my opinion, it's not that good.. i've been to few cavenzi including the one in balakong (main branch), but i couldn't get what i want, their range is too big, u can choose either very cheap or expensive. But those cheap 1, it's rather small and quality not good, but those with quality, it's expensive.. at least to me...

Mind to snap some photo of ur door after painting? hehe ... Just sharing ...
And i just went to Cavenzi in Bukit OUG, inside the Central Market .... hmm ... that branch really teruk ... a bit messy and the stock is a bit old. I will recommend anyone who interested to drop by Wangsa Maju Branch, they just open there if not mistaken, and the stock that they have there is quite limited, but to me i feel the designs look a bit new compare to the one in Bukit OUG ... smile.gif

Just own point of view ...

I have to agree with stormchaser. Either its too cheap or too expensive. I end up buying a bedroom set cost around 2k. Though it wasnt my plan to get the expensive ones, but my pick is really worth it. I really like the design. I went to the Puchong branch btw. And yeah, its kinda messy too.

Yalor 2K is quite cheap but then he din say what's included... or the materials used!

It's a good idea to measure your rooms first before going out to buy big pieces like wardrobe, bed and dinner tables.

Take your time to learn subtle points of selecting good furniture and how each piece will fit into the room or if it's too big icon_idea.gif

The materials used also determine the quality and price of a particular piece.

There is a big price difference between high density fibre board, ply wood, rubber wood, nyatoh, mahogany, metal etc.

Also there are so many different kinds or fabric, leather, synthetics, and there are also regular glass and tempered glass.

My recent tip is there is 2 different types of marble used to make dinner tables. Treated marble and natural marble... treated being cheaper (depends) and looks very attractive and natural depends on each piece no two are the same.

But if you chip away the surface of treated marble the colour is different. I've seen a very reddish marble table but chip the surface underneath its actually white and natural marble if chipped the colour is consistent underneath you can polish natural marble and its good as new! thumbup.gif
