For lower tension, just change to lower gauge strings. Can try the .010 first. If high action is what you meant (strings far away from the frets), you need to file down the bridge saddle and/or nut, which is not a job for the inexperienced. Just bring it to a guitar tech.  thumbup.gif

ok thanks... what is high action? what i meant was the string is very tight. or got alot of tension. ok i will try .010 gauge

high action is when the space between ur stings and the fretwire is big. ie big gap between string and fretwire

do you REALLY need the pickup? cos if not, just get an acoustic. will get you a better guitar for your budget cos they don't need electronics

Just acoustic is recommended. You can get a mic to replace the pickup if u really need it badly.

yeah right not you xD number one in malaysia somemore say not you xD
eh I just did the Hard Rain performance on Friday. It was awesome!! i think most people loved it and even more was wondering what the hell was i doing banging the guitar so much xD I even ended up banging the mic total 3 times cause the guitar had too much noise when plugged in so i had to mic it up... >.<
But overall i think i succeeded(with a few mistakes here and there..) in entertaining the crowd xD
so happy now lol Time to move on to the next song... will someone teach me how to nail attack for ~wings~You are the Hero?

Also, Any where i can find good pickups for my acoustic? whats the price range?

Well I guess it all depends on the use. Because honestly acoustic pickups (may it be undersaddle piezo, soundhole, magnetic, or even combo with built-in condenser mic) and no matter what brand (Fishman, K&K, L.R. Braggs, AER etc) can never compete with the sound from a well positioned condenser mic. Because IMHO, a pickup just can't capture the true warmth and personality of your acoustic guitar. I know that there's acoustic imaging pedals (i.e. Fishman Aura, Zoom A1 etc) that can compensate the "feeling" lost but I haven't tested them so can't give an opinion on them.

1) If your intention is mainly to practice and/or record at home. Forget the pick-up (want to have good recording sound, then get a condenser mic)
2) If your intention is to perform live, also depends. For small intimate gigs, I still recommend using a mic, for big gigs (ala outdoor festivals and stuff) then I guess then you'll need a pickup.
