Anyway guys it's been only 1 month+ since I started learning guitar,so my changes are not top-notch yet,so I was wondering is it ok if my fingers cannot all go down at the same time when changing from one chord to another chord?

Most important is to practice with right position.. palm parallel with neck, keep the fretboard totally facing the front (most newbie would tilt it slightly upward so they could 'see' the chords they hold) those kind of stuff. There's no absolute correct way of playing, but what i mean is something more natural like everyone else play. Don't just try for the sake of getting the sound right.. buzz, finger cannot reach the note and all is very normal cause our fingers not stretched yet. If you get too used to 'unconvetional' way of playing the chords once you realize the more appropriate way you find it kinda hard to re-adjust. Maybe a should allocate some money to go to classes. Added on December 23, 2010, 1:51 pmGuys, I've been told that Dreadnought with cutaway Taylor acoustics built and material is not suitable for Malaysia's climate. How so? Can any experienced guitarist could enlighten more on this? Thanks. This post has been edited by mhb: Dec 23 2010, 01:51 PM

I am depressed. I'm a beginner in guitar so I need some guidance in this. I just snapped my low E string, and currently unable to play it. I would like to know if I am supposed to change all the strings, or only the only one which snapped? I am also unsure about the string I use, since its already on it since I bought my guitar. I like my strings because they are soft and less painful to me compared to my friend's strings. Anyone know any strings which are as such?

U could change just one string, however it is advisable to change all for balance. Soft strings? Probably nylon, or the expensive acoustic elixir strings, just take to the shop and they will change it for u, price is around 30 for a set of nylon strings, d'addario's

change the whole set. i don't really like elixir. don't know about you. but if you're willing to spend RM30 every month, I suggest you get Dunlop acoustic strings.

spend RM2.8, buy ONE ernie ball 11 plain steel string. You could ask them to change for you, or better yet just learn to change it yourself. Trial and error.

You can try the Rotosound JK9 (low gauge). They are very soft and thin, but if you're ok with trebly sound, go for it. And please change the strings yourself. First time maybe kinda hard, but trust me, in the long run, you'll be very glad. There are lots of guide on the internets, written / video. Just ask Uncle Google.

Who told you it's not suitable for malaysia climate?

Someone from burgercis music if I'm not mistaken. He said that if anything happens to the guitar, there will be no warranty claim. Added on January 15, 2011, 11:12 pmBy the way, yours is 110ce? How much and where did you bought it from? I'm kinda keen to get one. This post has been edited by mhb: Jan 15 2011, 11:12 PM

Btw I'm still in the hunt for a serious acoustic. I can't stay forever with my bashed-up f310. Do you guys think it will be a good idea if I end up at Mr. Freeman's place for my next acoustic?
