Hi. I wanted to say something today, I saw your threads but I had not much time until now:

- How do you compare your chips vs one container of fried nga ku? In pricing and weight. Do you feel you can expand until your bag of chips can replace this container jar in CNY?
- Do you still sell original salted taste? Pringles sour cream might swing people to buy the can instead of your chips or Indian tapioca chips, may be cheaper vs your products.
- Have you seen the Pappadam snack in local stores? Especially in Speedmart99. Are you heading in that way of expansion?

1) I've never want to replace the container during cny I will still continue to do the canister one during cny with my packets. The price and weight is 4 packets equal to 1 canister

2) yes custom make I will do. If customer would like to compare my product to tapioca I got no comment. My product is not potato chips or starch like Pringle. It's different thing.. my thing is considered premium and it must be imported. Potato chips can plant anywhere easily and available throughout the year. So customer need to understand we are premium.. we need time to do personal branding.. just like cashew nut.
3) yes I will be going 99 speed mart. Within 1 or 2 years time. Sorry I'm still oversea now will get back to u for more question soon tqtq

I bought 3 from the snack shop in NSK Kuchai Lama, 4.90 each.


Why is there a package inside the package??


It's really hard to justify the amount.If I buy two,I could instead get a large pack of Hipster chips imported from US,UK,JPN,Korea.Lays sour cream flavor isnt a bad alternative plus it tastes really good also.
Consumers dont really care if they are Arrowhead or Potato chips.


Taste test:Got some burnt chips in the package when there arent much chips to begin with.The chips are thin and with inconsistent thickness,wish there were just a tat more thicand cruchier.The pack i opened was label Original Flavour but is has sour cream seasonkng in it.Factory error??

I would rate it a generous 3/5.I don't think I would buy it again in a very long time.


HALAL certified Arrowhead Chips is a untapped market.I think it's the direction where your product should go before others.

1) if you wonder why is there a package inside a package it's because the internal one is to protect the chips from rancidity and avoid crushing during transportation. It should have any problem with the packaging. I really appreciate that you have the curiosity to ask.

2 ) I'm sorry that i couldn't satisfy you but because this arrowhead chips is not potato chips, i honestly can't compete with big companies like lays and product like potato chips. I apologize in this because the cost price is really too high for me. I hope you can give me a chance to improve again as I'm very new company and I do everything manually.

3 ) Again, i apologize regarding the inconsistent thickness but i've spent lots of money in custom making the slicer. This is the best thickness to do the frying in order to cook it 100% in certain period. Yes it stated '' original flavour '' but our company's original stands for sour cream. This is because I have to print the packaging in very very high volume and if majority doesn't accept the sour cream flavour i can still change it to others. If i put sour cream flavour in the packaging and print 5k + pieces it might be a waste.. So to be safe i make it oriignal flavour . For the burnt chips I apologize but i will explain why, as I'm doing it manually there will be some overcooked chips because one time frying is approx 10 packets so cooked earlier and some took longer this is why I will work on buying a machine which will be sure that the chips will not be overcooked or not cooked, I'm very new and there's long way for me to learn and experience, I give my deep apology to you with my humble thank you

4 ) Thank you for rating me I will make sure I can improve more and more in coming months, I'm sorry that I couldn't satisfy your taste bud but I promise that I will make it better and better each time you buy it in coming future.

5 ) I will not get halal so soon as i'm a very poor entrepreneur, i couldn't afford the amount and a shop yet.

yes it is RM4.90.. I'm sorry but my cost is really too high for this product. I am not potato chips but I wish i can compete with them.. I do import this product from overseas and require lots of process before putting it into a packaging. I apologize in that it's a little pricey. Compare to cashew nut I think my product should stand like them but not potato chips. I apologize again but I promise I will do my very best to satisfy the majority, hope to serve you in near future ! ^^

Yes it is base on gram, each packet is 40 grams nett ( exclude weight of packaging ) so is all base on the chips only

Nah,I'm not saying your chips are unpalatable or asking for a refund.I just wanna give you my honest opinion so you can get a better idea on how you could improve your product.

The Ngagu chips people have known for years have always been lightly salted.Id would advise not making Sour Cream flavour the original,as a lot of auntie $ uncle aren't fond of this Western flavour.

Let me break down a bit & address few different points.

The external one is supposed to protect the chips from both rancidity & crushing. Crushing wise, that's why you have to pump air into it so that it acts as a cushion. Try to squeeze Twisties or Mr Potato packets & you'll know what I mean. Is it cheaper to use one good quality package vs your current internal + external package? I thought you double pack because your external package from China isn't safe for food lol.

Probably you need to stop marketing it as a snack or chips? Dunno how many people jump at your price already. The moment you do, people start comparing it with their regular snacks which is way cheaper than yours & then they get heart attack with your price.

I'm selling soaps for RM40. Ordinary soap is RM5 only. If I go around telling people I'm selling soap, of course it won't sell. Have to justify why it's worth RM40 & make people go "Oh yea, this item is usually around RM40 anyway". That's how Starbucks manage to sell their coffee & Chatime sells their bubble tea. Of course there'll be people who will say "Crazy, RM2 kopi selling for RM15" or "RM3 sugar water selling for RM7". You can't please everyone, so the key is to either please the majority (mass market) or the minority who can afford (niche market).

You can't please everyone's taste bud. Just don't compromise on your product quality & safety.

1 ) Yes at first I was having some problem with the packaging but I've talked to the supplier about that and also i've bring it to one of my friend that manufacture packaging. He say that my material used is same as the one that mister potato , lays but the problem that i have is that the external part ( the 1 part that face outside ) has a problem with the ink. My previous printer used some cheap ink that can easily wash off. So now I need to change everything to avoid the packaging change the taste of the arrowhead..

But really thank you for the second part, I think i need to look into that.. Just like you say RM2 kopi selling RM15 but still got people buy.. I think it's really about how they brand themself? I will take note in this part and make sure that everything is good again before i expand bigger.. I honestly appreciate your advice and I will keep it as gold and implement it into my snacks, with your advice and opinion i'm sure i can go further if i implement it, very thank you. Because you buy directly from China without technical experience, probably that's why you can't ask for sample printing first for you to check & test quality. Maybe for now, no choice just pay a bit higher price to get the packaging locally. Once you expert already & know the exact specs that you need only go to China source. Even that also sometimes those PRC will try to con you, so be careful la when you're in China - talk, discuss & paid for specs A but deliver specs B to you.

Branding is different, it's when Starbucks vs Coffee Beans (direct competitor), why should buy Starbucks's RM15 coffee vs Coffee Beans's RM15 coffee? But for Starbucks vs Kopitiam (indirect competitor), "why should buy Starbucks's RM15 coffee vs RM2 kopi", it's called Product Positioning.
