QUOTE(miyakochan89 @ Mar 2 2022, 01:22 PM) can curtains actually keep the heat out? Theoretically even if the curtain keeps the heat out, the walls will also get heated up and in the end the room will also get heated up anyways. I think the ACP- Aluminum Composite Awning best illustrates this example.Imagine if you have 2 carporsh, 1 with awning and the other one is preinstalled with ACP awning. ACP awningdoes shade the area and reduce the heat of your carporsh but awning itself (similar to curtain will get heated up) due to direct contact to the heat radiation emitted by the sunlight. |

Anyways, there are also thicker roller blinds right? Im using very thick curtains right now, while they do their jobs and block the setting sun but I find them hard to clean, and also the fabric produces a lot of dusts, cause well they are clothes.... and rather have something simpler like roller blinds. |

Haha, that's one of the draw back of curtain when it comes to cleaning. Anyways, there are also thicker roller blinds right? Im using very thick curtains right now, while they do their jobs and block the setting sun but I find them hard to clean, and also the fabric produces a lot of dusts, cause well they are clothes.... and rather have something simpler like roller blinds. We're seeing roller and zebra blinds trending nowdays due to the ease of cleaning as compared to curtains in the past few years. ![]() ![]() |

QUOTE(mini orchard @ Mar 2 2022, 05:50 PM) Sun block curtain ...vacuum, then use garden hose to clean. it's too big to vacuum, and too tall. I made it from the ceiling to floor. Besides, they start to disintegrate after a while. Just like any clothes. My curtains right now are deep wine red. And guess what when I vacuum around the floor? I see the dust inside my vacuum is all wine red colors. It means that the materials are disintegrating as i don't have any other red materials. So it's producing dusts itself. hahaha! ironically, it's one of the best materials out there when i made it cause i needed to block the sun. All window shades will have lots of dust after sometime. Same as air cond filter. So im hoping that by changing to blinds, this will solve the problems. *fingers cross* Jenn77 liked this post
