Hello, For blackout curtain with a sheer curtain using French pleat hook We normally use single curved railing so that there's not gap in between the edge of the windows. Human Nature liked this post

What is the ratio for the curtain tape? Let's say for 1 meter window width, how long should the curtain tape be? Using 4 prong hook for french style pleat. Many thanks

Many thanks Hi, It depends on the 'fullness' of the curtain you wish to achieve. the general guideline is between 2.5- 3 times the width of the windows. Human Nature liked this post

what is your opinion of installing curtain rail on concrete ceiling? what chances of the screw fall down after many years?
I have sliding door with rail screwed to ceiling. after 3 years, many screws fell. I hate to maintain it. have you encountered rail installation on plaster wall? you will locate the metal structure and screw onto it? can screw to thick metal? example of my mezzanine floor and one side of wall frame below. can screw to the metal vertical black bars? ![]() This post has been edited by Skylinestar: Dec 27 2024, 11:50 AM |

I believe your case may happen due to: 1. improper installation 2. the plaster celing was not properly reinforce to support installation of curtain railings. *We have not installed on metal bars so far as all our railings are installed on plaster ceiling ( for ceiling mounted curtain railings) |

Blind(s)man what is the curtain tieback height that you usually installed? From internet, almost all recommended 1/3 from bottom of curtain. On the other hand, many real life curtain pics show about 1/2 from bottom. Thanks

Thanks There's no hard and fast rules on this. the height of your tieback also depend on the height of your curtain. we normally install 10-15cm above the height of a door knob.
