Hello guys, I've ran through the search engine here and found a few shops , but sadly the posts are many years back and some may not even be open anymore. May I know where else I can find *affordable* clear acrylic/perspex sheets ?

QUOTE(ahchun @ May 11 2017, 04:03 PM) shop that are doing signage/signboard/advertising Oh why didn't I think of that. May I know how much you got it for ? Planning to custom make a tank, considering to either get loose pieces and make them myself or get those people to do it for me, hence the price comparison between the 2 i bought from those shop they will ask if you want specific thickness and also want to cut into specific size |

try calling Marklon Industries 03 6038 1188 or check with them which of their branch got stock.
They do have cast sheet acrylic for 4'x 8', 2mm ~12mm in thickness price varies from 120/sheet to 500/sheet depending on thickness. |

Actually, glass would be desirable as well, but the idea of it being heavier and fragile is quite a setback. On the other hand, the drawback of acrylic is probably price and the wears it'll have after many years from what I know. I'm living very near Setapak, may I know where's this shop you speak of I know a place near Setapak where you can get them done and they supply to local fish shops around in Malaysia. |

QUOTE(networkcrasher @ Sep 14 2017, 10:10 PM) Not too sure , but if i recal 1'x1'x1' costs me around Rm100-150? Cant recall since that was like months ago. If you're just looking to build a tank and have little funds, I'd suggest going full glass (heard it's cheaper than acrylic, not too sure on the pricing tho) |

I'd love to do glass but my use case is a little unique. I need to store water for water changes but don't have a spot for it in the house i'm renting that's anywhere near the tank. So i plan to get an outdoor storage box and build water tanks to go inside it. has a very high "wife acceptance factor" too. Small little hole in the wall for tubing and i'm good to go - can even do auto water changes.
