Any 50mbps users whom are paying rm242 with gst manage to log a case with Mcmc / TM to reduce their broadband monthly charges and has successfully won?
This because there are many people whom are billed differently for 50 Mbps package plan whereby some are paying RM242 with gst, RM229, RM209 and some even RM199 and this category are entitle for free upgrade.

Update: My appointment for the upgrade is at 5pm today. Shutdown current router (Asus AC-RT87U) and BTU for an hour and just power it up again . My speed has been upgraded Download: 104.25 MBPS Upload: 51.23 Ping: 4MS
I'll just wait for the TM engineer to come at 5pm and pass me the new router and maintain using my current RT87U Asus. This post has been edited by Mazda9: Jun 1 2017, 09:29 PM

Update: 4.30PM TM engineer just came and pass me brand new TP-LINK ARcher C1200 (sealed unit) and left as he said my Asus RT87U is more high end than this model. The entire process took less than 2 mins as he made me sign some documents and left. Truly blessed in getting such speed

QUOTE(jiangchen @ Jun 1 2017, 04:34 PM) I am really jealous right now seeing so many people getting the upgrade. Btw, did you really have to shut down the router and btu unit for an hour? Lol! Honestly i tried shutting down first for 15 minutes no changes then i shut down both btu and router for an hour and this time (2nd attempt) was successfull. Can anyone please advise why am I getting to different Speedtest results on my devices.
When I'm doing Speedtest on my ipad/ desktop / laptop , I'm getting download 105 Mbps and upload 53mbps but when I do the same on my iPhone using Speedtest app, I'm getting download speed 57mbps and upload 13mbps only.
I have checked Speedtest.net app settings on both ipad and iphone and everything is same? Wonder what's wrong...

QUOTE(zher4883 @ Jun 2 2017, 09:24 PM) Is your iPhone connected to the 5GHz Wifi band? If you restart the test while connecting via 5GHz band I have both bands enabled on my rtac87u- asus router. Is there anyway to know my iPhone is connected to which band?

QUOTE(zuhaili87 @ Jun 2 2017, 11:28 PM) uiks, iPhone 7 Plus should able to reach 89mbps as my iPhone 7. did u check whether ure using the same server for the speedtest? and make sure no other test was running at the same time? u can check your iPhone connected to which band on your router menu. click clients then u can see at the right side the band that the device connected to. Indeed bro. Using same server as other devices. Finally, manage to solve it. 😀 I did reset network settings on my iPhone and reinstall Speedtest app on iPhone as it solved the problem. Could be a bug perhaps 😀 Finally solved and now Speedtest results are similar across all Devices... thx for assisting in troubleshooting as well bro. Much appreciated.

QUOTE(alex82 @ Jun 3 2017, 09:38 AM) try doing network reset on your idevice by going to general > reset > reset network setting, your idevice will reboot and test with the speedtest app again Yeah, I did the same last night and it solved the problem. Thank you for the advise and tips 😀

QUOTE(angel-girl @ Jun 6 2017, 06:58 PM) The tech guy told me the dir 850l canot consistently hit 100mbps and finally ask me to use back my archer c7 as its better lol.i din try the dlink as i just got back home. In my case , I told my technician upfront pls walk in with only archer c1200 and if u don't have stock in hand, I'll wait but I demand only archer c1200 and he said don't worry, I have few units left with me and since you requested I'll give you that one... My speed was already upgraded and I was using my Asus rt-87u router and he only came at 4.30pm to pass me the sealed router and make me sign some documents and left.
