Anyone using Maybank easypay?

So basically:
1. I purchase something from shoppe/lazada via credit card (~RM4k)
2. Log in M2u apply easypay choose how many months installment

just like that right?
*
u mean EzPay Plus?
haven't tried converting manually
usually select the instalment option when making payment at checkout in shopee/lazada

meaning that if the minimum monthly payment is RM50, i cant just pay RM50? i must pay more than RM50 otherwise i will get 15% interest charge if this behavior continuing for 12 months?
*
how did u come up with that interpretation shocking.gif

interest will be charged on any outstanding amount (statement balance - payment, if any) after due date
i.e. so long as u do not pay the statement balance in full on/before due date, u will be charged interest regardless of other behaviour
the conditions listed are the different interest rate charged
i.e. if u pay at least the minimum balance on/before due date for the immediately preceding 12 continuous months, the interest rate will be 15% p.a.

PB Visa Signature is slightly better than PB Quantum Visa and Quantum Mastercard.
*
that is debatable
while u get access to airport lounge, travel insurance, less SST
trade off for RM 60 monthly cash back cap, cash back with contactless payment (which may cover more than dining or grocery)
QUOTE(ClarenceT @ Mar 7 2022, 06:33 AM)
Affin Duo Visa which require monthly spending of 3080

could have stayed at 1667 or below instead

Just wondering if my main bank account is with Bank A but if i'm interested to get a credit card with Bank B; how do i view my balance and what is the best way to pay the dues?

Is there any convenient way of paying the bills?
*
just to add, for certain banks such as Affin/RHB
you will need to register online/internet banking at the branch first for identity verification
so it might be a good idea to ask the customer service if u r collecting the card from the branch (Affin)

unable to allow standing instruction (recurring) on Public Bank to pay statement balance on certain date
(the standing instruction is more of a scheduled future transfer, which must input the amount and date every time sad.gif )
did that with Maybank classic
not sure about other banks

IMO standing instruction to pay CC bill cross-bank is not very useful.

Firstly amount must always be input. This is obvious la, sure change month to month.

Secondly unless your statement date is first 10 days of the month, the due date is always different day anyway. If you're not worried about optimising interest free days then can just set a safe date of course.

With both together? May as well I just every month do scheduled transfer once.
*
nah, not talking about cross-bank standing instruction
my point is even Public Bank standing instruction itself is too much hassle
Maybank, on the other hand, used to

and yeah, just statement date +20 - 31 should cover all due date, won't earn a fortune for 2-3 days interest

Can I said best statement date is early of the month to get longest interest free period while maintaining zero CCRIS outstanding by payment full at month end before next statement issue ?

FAQ 37

I'm currently using PBB Quantum card, only recently find out they are no longer give cashback for the e-wallet topup. Hence decided to change the card.

Currently also using Affin Duo, dunno thats the best option or other better option CC?
*
there's Public Islamic Platinum, higher effective rate at 4% but lower cap RM 30
there's also RHB Shell Visa, higher cap RM 50 with high spending requirement
so Affin Visa is probably alright

(who knows when is next TNC revision by which bank)

Also, I'm a Petronas user via Setel, if I use MBB Islamic Petronas via Setel am I entitled for the 8% rebate?
*

QUOTE(deanitro @ Oct 15 2022, 08:59 PM)
If i topup e wallet RM30K, then Duitnow to savings account or FD, i will have max of 50 days to pay back the RM30K before the due date.

If i have another CC with same credit limit, i just topup another RM30K to pay the first credit card. Then on the due date of the 2nd CC, i withdraw the RM30K FD to pay back the RM30K.

Reason to do this - to get the dividend of at least 30 days.

Is it possible?
*
topup with credit card within a month?
RM 5k, possible
RM 30k, no, unless u have a merchant qr to 'spend' and withdraw

The max for e wallet topup is RM5k per month?
My highest topup is only Rm50 as at now 😅
*
no, RM5k is the highest transferable limit from credit card topup

should be higher for online banking, limited by wallet size / transfer / fpx limit

Im currently looking for other cc to replace the PBB Quantum 2 cards.

Does Maybank Islamic MasterCard Ikhwan Platinum Card-i & AFFIN DUO Visa Cash Back a good option to consider?
*
Maybank Islamic MasterCard Ikhwan Platinum Card-i is limited to petrol and grocery only, so might need other card to supplement
UOB One or Hong Leong Wise are more of all-rounder card

PBQV
Affin Duo+ unless u r able to schedule them on 1st of every month YOLO?

PBQM
PB Islamic Visa Platinum/Affin Duo?
but who knows when will be the next revision on TNC

Seems like Affin duo is the better option to replace PBQ cards.

Do I still need PB Islamic Visa Plat? PBIV gives 4% cb but does it accept auto billing as well like Affin duo?
*
please take note that it's actually duo and duo+
so they will come in 4 cards
apparently, might not be charged SST on the mastercard if unactivated but might be charged in the future

PB Islamic Visa provides higher effective rate 4% than 3%
but with lower cap at RM 30 instead of RM 50/RM 80
and no, recurring transaction is not entitled to cash back

Same week I applied all other local banks, rhb, hong leong, public bank.

My monthly commitment only phone bill, total credit limit is 55k of 2 other local banks. Credit usage very low per annum probably less than 10k

Does local banks don't like credit card customer like me? Or I had the first mistake of applying multiple cards of same week?
*
low cc utilisation might actually boost your credit score
but applying with multiple banks simultaneously would suggest desperate for credit, which is red flag for them

QUOTE(WaCKy-Angel @ Feb 22 2023, 07:15 AM)
Nowadays still use salary slip? Use EA form or EPF statement much better bro.

yeah, thought so
applied PBB and Affin cc with EPF statement previously and yet, they requested for 3-month payslip

near impossible to do

there is no bank-to-bank integration to check your cc statement balance. unlikel they want to do it either and banks need to expose their IT infra for integration.
it's like this analogy: your company want to check your bank account balance (eg maybank) before transfer your monthly pay (from cimb) biggrin.gif
*
that is too complicated
they just need to work like direct debit, where the credit card issuer is regarded as other merchants

hi all, i would like to get some clarification about cc payment.

for example,
my statement balance=400 and due on 1st nov
my outstanding balance=800 on 27th oct

if i pay 400 follow my statement balance on 27th oct, will i got charge for interest fee on the 400 outstanding balance?
*
no, only your statement balance of 400 will be due on 1 Nov
other outstanding balance will be payable in subsequent statement cycle when it becomes statement balance
