QUOTE(1mr3tard3d @ Feb 20 2025, 12:15 PM) not exactly, the premium is based on 'outstanding credit card statement balance' therefore, u could pay all outstanding balance prior to the statement date which will result in Nil premium cost and yet be covered under the scheme not attractive for me since spending within my means secondly, i prefer 20-day interest free period Waaiiiittt a minute, so before the statement date, if i paid in full then that means there is no amount payable to the Bank for the premium??? I know abt the premium on the amt outstanding, i didnt cross my mind that is based on statement balance. This is very helpful.

Want to ask... are there any credit cards that allow point collection for payments made via PFX or Jompay? Thanks!

QUOTE(lolabunny123 @ Sep 26 2025, 06:54 PM) General question - I just got approved for an Ambank credit card. I changed my mind and do not wish to activate it. Will the unactivated credit card expire after a certain period of time or do I need to call customer service to explicitly tell them to cancel the credit card? Activated a card that I held onto for 6 monthish... it still could work. My suggestion is that you call and cancel the card to avoid any untoward incidents.

Was just wondering, for local banks like (HLB, AM, CIMB etc...), do they automatically permanently increase the credit limit without proof of income, or do you need to walk in to the branch and apply manually and submit supporting documents?
Meanwhile, for foreign bank, I manage to get a few permanent increases without submitting proof of income.

QUOTE(ideaplus @ Nov 4 2025, 01:06 PM) The keyword is "automatically." You mean the foreign bank that you hold will increase your CL automatically? Got a point there... not quite automatica, still have to respond to their SMS😅 RM0 UOB: Get higher credit limit up to RM xx with no documents required if your employer is unchanged for the last 24 months & have no non-bank debt. Reply "UM4" by 31Oct25 to apply. By replying, you declare that the above is true and agree to the T&C. Search "ND1" for more info and T&C.

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Nov 4 2025, 01:28 PM) dont need to pray for automatic increase. banks nowadays are very very careful in increasing CL. the risk to the cardholder is higher and potential litigation is also high (eg bank auto-increase CL, user overspent without knowing CL, failed to pay then blame bank for not stopping the transaction/CL too high because auto-increase by bank without consent!) Not praying for an auto increase. I am wondering for local banks, is it likely they will offer you like (UOB) or its more likely you have to walk-in and apply? I have my [insert reasons] to ask for high limit and I am aware the banks have their reasons to give it or otherwise.
