I read somewhere that according to bnm, banks should give few days grace period after credit card's due date for full payment. Do banks have to comply with this?

my card payment due is 31 July. i made full payment on 1 Aug, and HLB charged me late payment penalty and interest. i appealed, but HLB only waived late payment charge, and interest charge cannot be waived. they refused to reverse interest charge although i appealed for second time.

i heard some where in credit card related forum (few years back) that BNM ordered banks to give grace period of few days (after due date) before they can charge interest. is it true ? can someone enlighten me on this before i make an official complaint to BNM ?

If u spend on BP-rm1800 and Grabpay+TnG-ewallet=rm200, u will get rm15+4=rm19 ~0.95% cb.
rm15 from 7.8% of rm200 caped at rm15.
rm4 from 0.2% of rm2000.

Some banks even if 1 day late, they will start charging interest on the outstanding balance after the last statement right?

Currently ocbc got the following campaign.
For d condition "For every RM50 spent in a single receipt on all other retail transactions", does it mean that if I reload rm1000 to Boost it is considered as 1 entry n not 20 entries?

1)Transaction for online or in store for grocery and online or in store for dining only.= 5x
2)Transaction for all retail only = 1x
3)Every RM50 spent in a single receipt = spent any amount in one receipt, each RM50 in the any amount gets 1 entry(all retail other than online grocery and online dining)
Example for online (grocery or dining) or in store (grocery or dining) :
a) spent RM100 in one receipt, RM100 divide by RM50 multiply by 5x = 10 entries.
b) spent Rm1000 in one receipt, Rm1000 / RM50 multiply by 5x = 100 entries.

Example for all retail:
a) spent RM100 in one receipt, RM100 divide by RM50 = 2 entries.
b) spent Rm1000 in one receipt, Rm1000 / RM50 = 20 entries.

I tot I read somewhere with similar t&c that should be the interpretation but CS said reload rm1000 to Boost in a single transaction considered 1 entry.

Will earn CB, been doing that for the PBBs. Just that won’t be eligible for their campaigns.

Have to add, this is by using the IPTA online payment portal.
*
Thanks. I will be paying rm3k utm fee via https://ecommerce.utm.my/v3/
So no point using PB VS n QM for this month, quota already used up. Dont have Affin VS. So will stick to ocbc also getting rm30 cb. Unless other sem can pay monthly. But the mcc is govt right?

Existing cardholders who currently hold credit cards from more than two issuers are given up to the end of 2011 to select their preferred issuers. Cardholders will also be given at least two years to service their outstanding credit card debt for the credit cards that have been cancelled for the purpose of meeting this requirement.

I forgot to pay off my credit card yesterday (28th is the due date). I paid it off in full today, so essentially 1 day late. Will this affect my credit score badly and appear on CTOS?

There might be late charges n interest for banks that dont have grace period.

Btw, how does temporary credit limit increase work?

If my credit limit is 10k, i want to increase to 15k, because i want to buy something that is 15k. Then i swipe this 15k item today after my bank say temp credit limit increase ok. then tomorrow, my credit limit will be back to 10k?

is it something like that?
*
They will give a period of time for the increase.

With the c19 rampaging thru the country, i am beginning to worry about creditcard accounts if died suddenly. Especially if cards still have unpaid installment for BT, FPP. Any suggestion?
