Who is Chelsea target Jeremy Toljan? Conte considering buying Hoffenheim's rough diamond

The 3-4-3 is here to stay in west London and the Blues boss is looking for players to make it work in his second season in Stamford Bridge
Jeremy Toljan is a Germany Under-21 international playing for Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga and he has attracted the attention of the likes of Chelsea and Napoli.
Chelsea scouting Toljan
The 22-year-old can play on the left and right side of defence, as well as in midfield, and he was first scouted by Antonio Conte's staff during the Blues manager's Juventus days.
Chelsea scouts attended both of Toljan's last two games for Germany's youth side against England and Portugal.
Toljan was eligible to play for both Croatia and the United States but rejected those approaches to play for the country of his birth. He made his professional debut for Hoffenheim at 18 years of age in a 2-2 draw with Mainz.
His development has been stunted this season due to a limited number of first-team opportunities. However, Toljan is regarded as a major talent in Germany and he is expected to become a senior international in the future.
Napoli are seriously interested in the former Stuttgart player, who came to the attention of many of Europe's elite teams after an impressive showing at the 2016 Olympics. Germany won the silver medal in Rio and Toljan was one of the stars of the tournament, which alerted Bayern Munich and Juventus to his talent.
He boasts great physical attributes, while he is impressive going forward. Victor Moses and Marcos Alonso cover a lot of ground for Conte's side and Toljan is capable of matching Chelsea's current wing-backs in that regard.
His versatility is also a strength and he has been used in a variety of roles for Hoffenheim this season. He has provided his team with a goal and an assist, but there is a feeling that he has been increasingly sidelined at the club because he is letting his contract run down.
However, he has also lacked consistency this season and he has made the kind of defensive errors that wouldn't be tolerated under Conte.
He is, though, a low-risk rough diamond. He will need a lot of work - perhaps a loan move too - but Conte and many of his counterparts at top continental clubs see Toljan as a talent that is ready to be moulded into something special.
He will be available on the cheap with his contract expiring in June 2016 and Chelsea may look to immediately use him as a back-up option for Alonso and Moses.
However, the Blues may also look to loan him out to a club across Europe or even ultimately sign him to sell him on - as they did with the likes of Patrick Bamford and Papy Djilobodji, who were both offloaded on for a profit despite minimal first-team action at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea will try to add more than just bargains in the summer and they will likely add another full-back even if they sign Toljan, with Roma's Antonio Rudiger, West Ham's Michail Antonio, Schalke's Sead Kolasinac and Monaco's Djibril Sidibe all under consideration.
Bayern Munich's David Alaba and Juventus' Alex Sandro have also been mooted as possible incomings for Chelsea's wing-back position, but they are not deals that are expected to be completed in the summer.

FENERBAHCE JOIN PSV IN RACE FOR CHELSEA’S OUTSTANDING MIDFIELDER… WILL CHELSEA BE RIGHT TO SELL HIM?
April 11, 2017 OTONY
Turkish club Fenerbahce have joined Dutch club PSV in the race to sign Chelsea midfielder Marco Van Ginkel according to Standard Sport.
The 24-year-old midfielder is currently on loan with PSV and he has impressed with the Dutch side since joining on loan in January after scoring seven goals in eleven appearances for PSV.
Chelsea signed Van Ginkel in 2013 for £8 million but a serious injury halted his progress in his first season at Chelsea and the midfielder is yet to play for Chelsea after making four appearances for Chelsea in 2013 before he suffered a serious knee ligament injury in September 2013.
The injury kept Van Ginkel on the sidelines throughout that campaign and he has failed to make an appearance for Chelsea ever since as he has been shipped out on loan since his recovery every season.
The report claims Fenerbahce have decided to make a move for the 24-year-old and want to open talks with Chelsea.
“He’s a good player. He can be the one who will move the ball from the midfield area to the last third,” Fenerbahce coach Dick Advocaat said.
“He’s a good passer and also a great competitor. He has a good mindset.
“If the terms are acceptable, signing him would be a no-brainer.”
Van Ginkel Chelsea’s contract runs until 2019.

Chelsea transfer news and rumours: Competition for £33m target, striker leaves, Diego Costa - the truth about the £75m move
All the latest transfer talk from Stamford Bridge
BY STEVE WOLLASTON
20:04, 24 MAY 2017
With the transfer window fast approaching, we take a look at what is currently happening at Stamford Bridge.
Our colleagues at The Mirror provide the updates.
Newcastle United want Chelsea target
Rafa Benitez will make a bid to land Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi on loan.
The Belgian striker has made only one league start this season for the new champions following a £33million move from French giants Marseille last summer, but has netted four in his last three appearances — including the winner at West Brom that confirmed them as title winners.
Benitez wants to use the loan market to bolster his newly-promoted Newcastle squad, and offer former employers Chelsea the chance to give an expensive asset more Premier League experience.
Newcastle borrowed winger Christian Atsu from Stamford Bridge last season and he will now be their first summer signing.
The Magpies have been watching Batshuayi since he was at Marseille.
Benitez has between £70m-£100m to invest this summer and wants five new first-teamers, and at least as many new faces on top to bolster his Championship-winning squad
Striker leaves
Juventus have announced the permanent signing of Chelsea forward Juan Cuadrado .
The 28-year-old, who has spent the last two seasons on loan at the Serie A champions, has signed a contract that will keep him at Juve until June 2020.
Juventus will pay 20million euros (£17m) for Cuadrado, who has already made 83 appearances for his new club.
The Colombia international, having also enjoyed a temporary stay at Fiorentina in 2014, initially joined Juventus in August 2015 and then returned this term.
No £75m move for Costa
Chinese club Tianjin Quanjian have distanced themselves from a £75million move for Diego Costa, saying there has been no contact with the Chelsea hitman since the turn of the year.
The big-spending CSL side have stated that they will be looking at a “rational transfer plan” this summer in a bid to become more sustainable.
The Chinese club recently announced that they had reached a ‘verbal agreement’ for their No.1 transfer target, with owner Shu Yuhui saying “buying a world-class centre forward is a no-brainer."
Chelsea striker Costa, who scored 20 goals for the champions in the Premier League this season, has been heavily linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer, having refused to commit to the club.
£39m?
Chelsea are ready to splash £39m on Monaco star Tiemoue Bakayoko to push in front of Liverpool in the race for his signature.
The Reds had been the favourites to claim the 22-year-old midfielder this summer but the Blues are now closing in on a move.
RMC Sport in France have reported the Premier League champions have already held talks with Bakayoko.
Manchester United have also leaped in the battle for the France under 21 ace - with Jose Mourinho listing him high on his wish list.
Jurgen Klopp will have to act fast to claim his man - with his price tag set to rise after lifting the Ligue 1 crown.
Swansea want John Terry
Paul Clement is planning talks with John Terry over a possible move to Swansea.
Terry will leave Chelsea at the end of the season and is yet to make a decision on his future.
Following the win over Watford, he admitted Sunday's clash with Sunderland could be his last as a player.
But Clement , who worked with Terry at Stamford Bridge, wants to hold talks with the former England skipper.
"I will have a conversation with him. I've known him a long time," the Swansea boss said.
Manchester United, Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea ALL eyeing Stoke's Jack Butland
Four of the Premier League’s top six have made fresh checks on Jack Butland following his return to action.
Manchester City , Manchester United , Chelsea and Arsenal are all keeping tabs on Stoke star Butland, who has got back into the first team after a year out with a bad ankle injury.
The revived interest could lead to the 24-year-old England international joining the goalkeeping merry-go-round this summer.
United and City are most likely to move for new No1s this summer, and are among the clubs keeping track of how Butland has been getting on since his comeback last month.
Rodriguez
James Rodriguez is desperate to get a move to the Premier League after Real Madrid gave him the green light to move.
Colombian superstar James is being punted around to clubs on the back of a remarkable marketing deal to try to secure a big-money transfer.
It is believed super agent Jorge Mendes is looking for an English club with the agreement that if he signs it will be part funded by the player's personal kit sponsors Adidas, who will pay 20 per cent of his wages through their own marketing, image rights and shirt sales.
However, James is available and Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal are likely to be sounded out with him keen to move to London.
James joined Real Madrid in 2014 for £63m but has had mixed fortunes which explains his exit this summer.
Virgil van Dijk
Chelsea need to boost their squad to handle the rigours of the Champions League means even more fierce competition for top players.
And one of Liverpool's top targets is prime Antonio Conte's sights.
The Italian wants to improve all areas of his Premier League winning side and Southampton's Virgil van Dijk is his prime target - one of the very same centre halves Jurgen Klopp likes the look of.
The Independent claim "there is a growing belief that the 25-year-old Dutch international favours a move to Stamford Bridge" over other potential suitors, including the Reds and Manchester City. He has also been linked to Arsenal.
