QUOTE(old_calculator @ Sep 30 2017, 10:54 PM) hi everyone. i have a question but im not sure whether this is the right thread or better open a new thread but here it goes. 1. yes, if remember correctly, givi already release official bracket for that model. ive been using ex5 probably about three years now but actually the bike itself already 20 years old. passed down from my brothers. mostly just commuting around kl/pj but sometimes to cyberjaya too. the bike itself not really much of a problem at all besides some occasional dead at traffic light, fuel meter not working, (and the clutch maybe a bit hard to masuk gear?). but to me, the biggest problem is its slow (im about 100kg lols) and the small tank. ive been eyeing pulsar rs200 and ns200 but because of abs, rs200 is high likely to be my choice. my questions are: 1) the ex5 has always have a givi box at the back so its either i put my helmet inside it or clip under the seat. do those two have any option to hold the helmet in place? 2) do you carry around your raincoats in you bag everytime or is there anywhere to store them? looks like dun have but i might be wrong 3) its kinda hard for me to choose rs150 or yz15 instead of these two but the former two gives the versatility of kapchais hence can have bakul and box but the price difference not that great to consider having 50cc less. well i hope you guys can help to answer my dilemma.. thanks all 2. i put my raincoat in my underseat compartment, but im using scooter. if u install top box, u can put there instead since that model only hv small compartment only, just enough for tools 3. yes, for the price, better to take ns/rs200, much better value. |

QUOTE(mADmAN @ Feb 8 2018, 04:22 PM) why the EO so cheap? 3 bottles for 49.95? should be so otherwise the total charge column will be higher... are they using mineral oil for 10k km service interval? but considering the pricelist... normal servicing quite affordable at HLYM for an MT07... brake pads kinda expensive though heh even if compared to kapchai, 1L of EO around rm30-40 for just normal semi. or izit because they already markup the labour charge ? |

QUOTE(ajaibman @ May 31 2018, 04:10 PM) That's reason why some pricing of the bike became bloated compare to the official published figure by the manufacturer, especially the terlajak laris models .. example like NVX155 Yamaha, official price around 10k, try to find the deal around in that price.. mostly they dealer offer 12 to 13k with take it or leave it attitude.. 10k last time is still not include gst n OTR price.once added gst, insurance, roadtax, etc.. the real price around 11-12k but u right, goverment dont hv price control on bike price, hence dealer can mark up whatever price they want if the model is hot n lots of demand. most nvx buyer is loaded with money and dont care much the price. QUOTE(prototype @ Jan 31 2019, 06:25 PM) hey guys, just wondering.. if the shop want to sell to u with basic selling price. lolsince i saw most shops mark-up the bike's OTR price so much more than the bike's basic selling price so when you buy your bikes.. do you have to pay the whole bike OTR price? or can you do the registration/insurance/roadtax on your own - so you just need to pay the bike basic selling price to the shop? |

QUOTE(Kaboku @ May 24 2019, 07:20 AM) Thanks. Gloves seems to be the hardest to get right for me. I too hope I don’t have extra ordinary fingers. normally every new glove that i wear, i will make it wet then ride. cos it will faster to make it fit and settle down with my finger. the only problem is the edge of the stitching on finger, it will push to under my nail. but after sometimes wearing it, i didnt feel anything after that |

QUOTE(quintesson @ May 25 2020, 10:39 PM) bros, i hv used few phone folder, the pouch type, naked holder with X grip clamp and side claimp.Selamat Hari Raya and Holiday to all. want to know which is the best and secure phone holder for a motorcycle cub ie. Honda Dash/Yamaha Lagenda or LC to use? you know you don't want the phone attached to it fly out when you hit a pothole or bumper. i searched thru Lazada or Shopee some is with a pouch (concern sensitivity issue) and some is naked (concern snatch issue pulak) just a holder platform attaching to the side mirror. thanks for me, the best would be the X grip clamp, the phone wont overheat( but still overheat if ride on noon, sun hit directly to the phone and caused overheat. lol) after i hv changed my phone casing, the big 1 included the ring and the magnet at the back, now im using the pouch type because this is the only phone holder can fit with this casing. so for dont hv any overheat issue as long as i dont ride at noon. the only issue is the bracket is not hold steady, so pothole or uneven road surface might cause my phone vibrate a lil bit. but not an issue. i still can the phone clearly when its not vibrate. i also notice, after i change to new phone with new chipset( smaller chip size, nm ), even running on waze, the phone is not hot like previous phone. |

QUOTE(RicoT @ Oct 22 2020, 11:34 AM) On another question, is the CBS any good for new rider? I saw Honda advertise about the front and rear braking distribution system, as in when using the front brake, the rear will be activated as well. Yamaha NMax do not have this CBS system right? yes, Nmax dont hv this CBS. but front and rear using disc brake.Sadly, Honda PCX has yet to upgrade to a rear disc brake. im riding this nmax. if compare, NVX hv front disk with ABS, but rear still using drum brake. not sure why, but for scooter, rear brake is important too since u dont hv engine braking. QUOTE(silvaco22 @ Oct 22 2020, 02:27 PM) not sure about others, but im stick with Givi. my last givi rain coat can last 10 years. and last year i just bought new 1. quite worth it to replace after few years since its quite cheap compare other high brand with same quality. |

i bought battery tester + battery charger. so incase anything happened, i can check the battery condition and recharge it. or if the battery tester said the state of health is quite low, then better buy new 1.
i got 2 cars and 2 bikes at home. in this MCO period, didnt travel much, better to start the engine weekly to make the engine is good and battery got recharged. |

QUOTE(skincladalien @ Jan 27 2021, 03:50 PM) Hi all, any recommendation for a newbie bike around RM20k excluding gears? NS200 rm9.6kWas eyeing for R15 but felt that 150cc might be too low. Favorite bike is Ninja 400 but out of budget for now. Dominar400 rm12k R25 rm20k MT25 rm21.5k Z250 rm21.7k CBR250RR rm26k the price is body, not OTR this what i think of. the rest like R15,M15, as u said. the 155cc for 12-14k might be too much, better to take 2nd hand. other brand, im not sure due to mostly the parts might be an issue later on. ninja 400 can get 25k++ for 2nd hand mdziaf liked this post

Too dangerous/risky go ride at motor lanes at night. i remember 1 time when its at 8pm and it was raining. i at toll usj edit from elite. i didnt go to bike lane since its just toll booth, it was raining and i know the bike lane is bad and dark.then got police blocked me and get summon due not follow bike lane. it was bad luck. i think that police might be looking some1 just to fill his KPI.. i mean of cos every bike go there will go thru toll booth. |

QUOTE(skincladalien @ Feb 11 2021, 01:25 AM) i have been joining bike groups to know more about the bike I plan to get. for sporty look like motogp Got a question. Why do ppl like to "sunat" their bike? i just bought 2nd hand bike from my friend. previously the owner sunat before i bought it and hand over to me with 100% stock condition. thinking to sunat it again but due road condition always wet near my area, i just leave it as stock. for me, practically its more important than sport look. even i want to put top box on my bike, but everyone against it. lol |
