New Rider here. 3x years old and regret didnt take up bike license when young. ahaha.

Going into 3rd(7hr+) class for L module. Bought bajaj as lesson bike since cheap and reliable, only able to ride during weekend.

still not dare to lane split in long slow traffic .haha

Practice makes perfect.. practice more on slow speed balancing skill.
just choose a time to ride where the traffic is low in order to build up confidence.

Thanks.

but more worry on fitting through the traffic/splitting lane, muat ke xmuat. haha

finally got physical license card and renew it till 2030.

its not straight fwd. Need justification on why need physical card. My advise if you want physical license, bring these doc:

-photocopy + original valid passport
-photocopy + original IC
-photocopy + original ( if relevant) holiday itenary /work permit.

If you travel oversea quite often, stamp in your passport can be supporting doc. No extra charge were impose as I renew additional 2 years only pay rm60 over the counter, based on receipt.

so what justification did you give them?

i assume u did this at JPJ.... wondering if possible to do at UTC.

I bring passport and work permit. haha.

UTC will only issue paper slip. Physical card at JPJ only. Very troublesome right. haha.

Just curious, is your examiner very particular about the part where you need call and point out the bike parts and how was the condition?
I am worried I may jumble out that particular section.
Likewise I managed to get a renewed physical lesen and IDP too.
For my case they asking for my flight itin but I carried my passport just in case they need to look at it.

Since I have not gotten my Bfull yet, if i pass my exam can I update my physical lesen to reflect the new class since I have renewed it  when I got my IDP?
*
during the part 1 JPJ exam, there were five of us explain through the RPM, I'm not sure how other place conduct their test. So the examiner dont mind much as long as your voice is heard and talk about the RPM list.

Yup, you can renew and bring the required docs as well.

I think if you can spend on your rig build in your sig, you should spend on a decent helmet
*
hahaha, i thought we were talking about cheap helmet.

QUOTE(jaycee1 @ Jul 3 2024, 01:26 PM)
Curious. LS2, KYT tend to have rounder shaped helmets to fit our Asian heads better. Givi's m35 seems to be half decent also.

I would be really cautious in spending less than 3xx on a helmet.... It's not something I would skimp at.

But nothing beats a full face. So many cases of riders need face reconstruction after face planting in an accident. A broken jaw would really suck for months... Pun intended. Tooth implants are not cheap either.
*
LS2 and KYT can fit for 2XL, other like gracshaw, givi does not fit well even with the same size.

so bought nenki open face weekdays since i park then travel south during weekdays, and modular for when I'm back home.

Want to start…

as a fresh B full student (pass July 2024).

My previous group has 3-4 lady rider straight go for B full.

Getting L with D is quite easy, either DIY or pay the driving academy for L license (Paid and received in app within 2 working day)

I would suggest go for Bfull straight and find good used bike , dominar d400 to start with (v1 can get less than 6k).

Certain driving academy has long waiting list for b2. My place, Rakan Ehsan (~RM900 all in, including L lesen and update JPJ for Bfull once pass the test), every session has more than 10 student for b2 but <5 for bfull. So within a month, I'm able to attend JPJ test without waiting list.

Wow I didn’t know taking licenses also need to queue these days? Hahaha… I just wanna enjoy the ride, not like ride and die kinda thing. Getting L license I can just practice on my own is it?
*
Yup long que, especially the driving school with low fee and can take longer hour practical class = alot of bfull student = waiting list for JPJ test which have limited seat.

I'm not sure if its true or not, there's one driving school in Nilai is cheap 6xx for bfull and able to finish 15hr compulsory practical class in 1 weekend (sat + sun), but the JPJ test waiting list is about ~3 week atleast.

Yes, you can get L and practice, but those hour didnt count if you are not attending the driving school class. Dont forget to stick L on your bike.

two driving schools that are cheap for B full last I checked are ps samy in kuala kubu bharu and unisex driving academy in nilai.. both under 800 compared to other places around 900-1000
they have branches in KL area just search in google map

ps samy you take normal class, 2 hours every session in unisex you can take straight 2 days in one weekend.
waiting list for jpj test is very long on any driving school, my test last time in ps samy had to wait 1 month+ after finishing all the session, but can do 1 refresher session one week before test.

I've known some people using L b full license for more than 2 years though.. so you can do that too if too lazy to go to school laugh.gif
*
ah yes, unisex, probably thats downside for reasonable price fee. cheap but longer time.

Oh, lucky for me no waiting list as theres literally 1 handful bfull student each session but had to go through 3 weekend (sat and sun 3 hours each day) and they dedicate Monday as refresher session 2-3hr for RM2x because JPJ test being held on Tuesday. Because of not many attending Bfull class, if you fail, can repeat next week + rm100 fee .hahaha. This was in July-Aug 2024.

Not sure now, but can check the place Rakan Ehsan, Klang if any1 want Bfull within a month. Maybe later oct onwards might be busy with student to upgrade b2 to bfull.

Hey guys.

My friend just got a used Versys 650, mint condition.

Previous owner have installed 2 spotlights and 1 charger. Wiring looks messy but not like spaghetti mess lah.

Do you all know any shop around Subang area that is willing to take out all the wiring for accessories, re-arrange and re-run them?
*
Can try NBP sg. penchala (kawasaki specialist) or teguh bikers kmpg melayu subang.

Anyway, any1 here bypass their drop sensor ? particularly for er6 brows.gif

either just open up, or short it. No?

-edit/update-
seems to be a 3-wire sensor with voltage sensor, and may require a bulb or high current resistor, instead of shorting it
*
yup, its 3 wire. after google search, 86k resistor should do it but more less the same with sensor. Some even suggest wrap it in condom and ziptie it.
