Why did you buy the router from China when you can get good ones here for quite reasonable prices?

As far as I know, the China router you bought does not support VLAN tagging which is required for Unifi, so even if you have your PPPoE username and password to connect, you won't be able to use the router unless you get a smart switch that can support VLAN tagging. hi sifu…i need some advise

i recently purchased a ROG GT-AX6000 from taobao

once received, i set it up following the router instructions (with Unifi PPPoe username and password) but somehow unable to connect to Unifi internet

as such, is there no other method apart from using this tp-link smart switch to solve my problem ?

fyi, my unifi plan is 800Mbps

thanks

Most likely; if the router doesn’t support VLAN tagging, then you’re SOL

Did you flash international firmware? Did you choose unifi as profile?
If there are no option to choose these, i believe you can set manually, in web interface > LAN > IPTV, internet VID 500.

China router is cheaper, but lower signal strength. You have to flash ROM or some are locked at bootloader.

check for LAN -> IPTV
if its not there then you're out of luck unless you get a smart switch to handle the vlan

this is the problem with buying chinese routers
1. lower transmit power
2. Chinese only firmware
3. bloat like qq game booster

and no, you cannot flash it to global
