Yea Google Drive is one of the option. Anyway debating this will ended up with another Android vs iOS never ending derails so I am gonna stop here.

For the music part, it's also a never ending derail topic like how games and softwares are being pirated when one can afford a so much expensive gaming rig, so I am gonna stop here as well.

The reason that pushes me to get the phone is that the GPS in my phone is not working well. I need the GPS to move around.

Service center quoted me 1.2k to replace the motherboard which is insanely high.

Another option is to get a cheaper phone for GPS purpose only but I'll need to carry 2 devices which is too much of a hassle.

It's not extreme at all. You know what. Some people actually take leave and collect their pre-order unit. To me, that's more extreme. Haha.



Hard to say. Until that time, the price will be much higher depends on our country's economy. Plus there may be no discount at all based on the offer of S8.

Service center said it's motherboard issue. It's been few days. It just suddenly stopped working. I was using it fine last week.

Did all the steps, hard reset, soft reset, reflash to Marshmallow, reflash to Nougat.

The GPS is working partially. Meaning it can detech your current location so using Uber and Grab is still okay. But Maps and Waze totally not working. Unable to lock position. Even with those GPS test or fix apps also cannot fix.

Tried 2 different states, Ipoh and KL. Tried many areas. All not working

If still under warranty the service center will replace for me for free instead of asking payment bro

I've no idea. Defect or no defect, once warranty is over you'll be on your own I heard there's a lot of people facing the GPS issue on both Note 5 and S7. I checked them out in lowyat forum here too but no solution.

I guess the issue just happens randomly to some people. Sigh.

Hard to say...that's the risk being the first batch buyers But nevertheless got warranty ma. Make sure to get extra warranty too.

Don't worry about it.

Why worry if someone encountered a gps problem on their phone (its not even an S8)?

Just because he encountered it doesn't mean you will as well.

Things get broken on electronics all the time due to daily use or whatnot. Depends on how you use it or how unlucky you are.

I got 4 coworkers who uses an s7e and their s7e are fine. I wouldn't dismiss any issue encountered by other people on their s7e because different phones are not perfectly built or used the same. But i wouldn't worry about it either just because a handful of people encountered it.
