I'm an international student interested in studying in Malaysia (because of financial reasons, and other reasons).. I intend to go for Chemical Engineering (undergraduate). What university is best? I've considered Curtin, Swinburne, USM etc.. Monash / Nottingham are too expensive. Are public universities like USM good, and is engineering taught in English there? What about Curtin / Swinburne? Please tell me, because I'm quite clueless.. Thank you!

Any other international students here, are there many international students in Malaysia? Are degrees from Malaysia recognised well generally, elsewhere?

The Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), responsible for quality assurance of higher education for both public and private sectors, has released the results of its latest Discipline-based Rating System or D-SETARA.

The new rating system is different from SETARA. The former categorises universities as a whole using a tier system based on the Malaysian Qualifications Framework whereas D-SETARA assesses the quality of teaching and learning of a certain field of study only.

I'm currently studying Chemical Engineering in University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus. I can say that the quality of education in my university is excellent but I must warn you that you will use only 5-10% knowledge of all the subjects you studied when you graduate.

I got a few international student friends who are studying chemical engineering now. PM me for more info. XD

Elsewhere is where? Your home country? China? Africa? Vietnam? Singapore?

Or you want to work outside your home country and Malaysia in USA? Germany?
