Why do you have the idea that LCD is better than the CRT. I have a HD CRT tv that supports 720p and 1080i and its as beautiful, if not more beautiful than the LCD tv. In fact CRT tv has better contrast and color than any LCD or plasma tv. The only problem with CRT is its size of the CRT tube is big and heavy and the max screen size is 35".

Why are you guys buying games from playasia? I got qoute from my KL source that all games RM195 only.

I thought it doesn't matter what version console and game for RFOM. If I have US console and Asian RFOM with asian RFOM save games then I can still play online right?

I read somewhere that you can use external HDD to connect to PS3 and use it to view photos, play MP3 and watch movies with these:

Format the external HDD as Fat32.

Now in order for your files to show up you need three folders created before adding your files to each.
MUSIC
PICTURE
VIDEO

These three folders are created to store your music, pictures, and video content. Make sure you have each folder in all capital letters.

Now your good to go for adding all your media from your pc to the external drive or saving stuff from ps3 to the external drive.

Have anyone try it out already? Does it work with any HDD brand?

I have a few original PS2 game lying around so I thinking of getting the US version. But what version do you guys get? My worry is online incompatibilty. What if I get the US PS3 can I join asian server for games or I must play on the US server only?

Finally bought my PS3. Will be getting it tomorrow. Its a 60gig Asian PS3 with Motorstorm and 1 sixaxis for RM2100. Also bought a used copy of Resistance for RM110 from lelong.com.

I cannot go online yet as my house don't have a phone line. Stupid fcuk Telekom. I have move in for 9 months now and we have 30 household applying for telephone line but Telekom reject saying its not viable to provide line to our area yet.

I bought it from KL...Cheras to be exact. My friend coming to Miri tomorrow so he is hand carrying it for me. I bought from this guy call Nelson which I bought my PSP from him which I saw from lelong.com.my. I have order 8 PSP from him so far for my friends.

I hook up my PS3 via my old third party PS2 component cable to my HDTv but i can only get 480i. My Tv has YCbCr and YPbPr connections. My upscaling DVD player use YCbCr and it supports up to 1080i.

When i hook my PS3 to the YPbPr i can only get 480i. I get nothing when i hook up to YCbCr!!!

Is there any diiference between the 2 type of component? I heard one is analog and the other is digital.

Can someone please help!!!

I got my PS3 running on my Tv at 720P....really nice.

But overall, i am quite disappointed with the PS3. Now I understand why the PS3 got so much negative comments since launch.

I remember the days when I got my PS and PS2...the wow factor is so high because they are so much ahead the PC games in those days. But as I boot out my 2 best PS3 games(motorstorm n resistance) I did not really experience any thing different as the graphics is nothing really special from the PC.

And one thing I think the PS3 really sucks is the mutilmedia experience. It has almost all the connectivy built into the hardware such as USB, memory card reader, wifi but the file format that the PS3 can support is so limited amking the multimedia experience a very shallow one. I specially convert a movie with the PS3 movie converter and it doesn't work...giving me stupid message "corrupted data"...WTF.

I then copy some of my digital photos and to my surprise, I can see it appearing as thumpnails but as i vtry to view it...same stupid message "corrupted data" appears even for digital photo...again WTF!!!

But even the supposely showcase game like Motorstorm is OK only lah.

I know i update my PS3 version with Motorstorm disc. Yes, I want to convert to US version to play PS2 games.

I update from motorstorm disc which include version 1.32

I don't have phoneline at home. so no internet.

What is the best downloaded games?

What about downloaded demo?

I can bring over to my sister's house to DL.

I have got my 250gig external HDD working on my PS3. So now all my photos, music and video can be play with my PS3. Problem is that i have to convert all my video files.
