Anyone been experiencing this issue currently?

been going on for a week or so now, hotlink# doesn't have service in Singapore.
very frustrating, unable to receive SMS.

Restarting phone/Airplane mode/change SIM to another phone/manually find network <<< all doesn't help

What else can be done icon_question.gif

Exactly same problem since last week, I thought it is just me.
Called customer service and they said everything is fine on my account, I am also not sure what else can be done.

A heads-up to Hotlink users in Singapore. There has been servise disruption in Singapore since week before Christmas 2024. Some Hotlink users have been unable to access roaming in Singapore since then. Even after trying out all available troubleshooting methods, nothing works out. Tried reaching out the Maxis online customercare, the dumb system requested SMS OTP for authentication. What a nonsense! I wouldn't seek your help for troubleshooting if I could receive SMS.

As such, if you wish to subscribe to Hotlink and access roaming in Singapore, please think twice if you do not want to be plagued with nightmare as Christmas gift.

Still the same issue. I reached SG yesterday and no service / network. Surprisingly, maxis postpaid has connection. I was in Jakarta last week and I have no issue with hotlink prepaid.i tried various method, still no resolution. It's really disrupting.

When did you subscribe to the roaming service?
1. While you were still in Malaysia or
2. Arrived in Singapore then only subscribe.

From my experience, if I subscribe the roaming service when I reached Singapore, it doesn’t work.
If I subscribe the roaming service while still in Malaysia, I have no issue when I reached Singapore.

it looks like this issue is persisting. likely need to have an all time on phone when heading back to Singapore to ensure signal stays on, and this phone should almost never turn off. will get a dumbphone for this perhaps.

I am not sure if I found the trigger of this issue.

The hotlink service was normal and connected to Singtel (no i do not have data roaming on or purchase any roaming package, just need phone to receive bank SMS etc).
After i purchased some voucher in apps and the credit balance fall to RM 9 and connection was lost.

I top up Rm5 and connection resume after short while. I believe need to have credit about RM10 (the cost of 1 day pass roaming) to maintain basic roaming.
