I wonder if transacted on weekend can entitle cash back? since unde gov body.
I have tried with hlb essential card. No cash back.

it's a feature since majority (i would say) of the merchants don't accept AMEX..

that's where the other card comes in (if you don't have other better cards from other banks)

the only bad thing for AMEX card is cash back is only for spendings during weekend and limited to RM50 per month

My MasterCard is kept in drawer.
I mix and match other cards and use according to their cash back categories.

Funny thing is the website and even calling the hotline says all stations can buy and reload at no charge

I saw the announcement from 1st page as below:
1. 5% weekend cash back for EVERYTHING by using M2 Amex on SAT/SUN, financial charge revised from 8.88% to 15%

And I can confirmed the cashback for Jul is reduced to 1.5% based on the amount I spent on Jul weekends.

last month i had spent RM 987.69 on my AMEX in the weekends, the weekends for July 2017 was divided as follows:

first week - 1 & 2 July
Second week - 8 & 9 July
Third week - 15 & 16 July
Forth week - 22 & 23 July
Fifth week - 29 & 30 July

my spending's during the abovementioned weekends are as per photo attached.

however i only recieved Cash Rebate amounting to RM 27.91 only. it seems that the last two spendings i made on Agoda was not counted for the month of July.

question, will the 2 spendings on Agoda be counted for cash back in August?

 

no automated way. even if call CS, don't think they can tell u upfront.

instead of wasting time finding out, might as well register again. fast and easy.

IMO, >5000 winners per month.
2/9 Sat and 1/10 Sun: almost 100% chance get 10%+5%+1.25%. Go Full tank (up to RM200).
5/8 Sat & 6/8 Sun: Most of us disqualified as we registered only after Mon 7/8, unless pre-informed / insider.
(But, 50% discount @ Shell is much better, so no regret)
Sat 12/8: chance very good to get 10%+5%+1.25%. Full tank (up to RM200).
