After the P990i infamous problems, I guess many people will shy away from another SE Symbian phone. From the reviews, it seems like SE P1i is far from being perfect yet. Of course, we can only hope that future firmwares will do miracles on this phone.

Every1's waiting, hope the new fw fixed most of the problems..

tested my P1i last night and today bit by bit. so far so good. no hang nth. i'm still trying to send files to my P1i either with BT or the cradle. most probably by BT since my notebook supports BT.

buttons actually quite easy to use, need some time to get used to it only. apps and other stuffs i've yet to test. will test again in few mins time in office toilet while baking some cake

Some say auto restart may occur when Searching Wifi or sending files via BT.. pls confirm this.

last night tried the Wifi, manage to searched for my own connection at home. no issues

just now transferred a song from my N73ME to the P1i via BT. successful and the song can be played

No prob ler, and people still say the BT and wifi will caused the phone to auto restart when used.

maybe earlier batches? who knows rite....

yeap... well try and see the latest fw go anymore changes or not lor..

lelong.com.my...u can pick it up for rm 1799...its really tempting mainly due to its reasonable price for a pda phone...thought of getting it..but seems like there are still bugs that SE needs to sort out sigh..hope they learn from their P990 mistake...The W960i is real cool, but it apparently will be out in December according to a site which claimed to have got this info from a SE guy during one of the shows.

Thing is it lacks tri-band 3G, HSDPA..but can complain if its wayy cheaper than its rivals..

RM 1799 with new registeration only.. not for direst sell.. you have to register a number to get that price..

Both w960 and P1i have 3g and triband with UMTS

looks like u r one of the user here knows every pro&cons of the phone

so far didnt experience any hang yet and open quite a few application too. install quite a number of sum of software. this is my first time using P series lol neve use b4.not bad la quite satisfied wif it. atm nothing bad happen hehehe....

If like this than those hangs and restart probs only happened on Prototype model only then..

So that means all the online reviews are based on the prototype model except for maybe CNET Singapore's review, they gave quite an acceptable review for P1i. Sigh ..... dunno who is right, who is wrong. None of my friends bought this phone so cannot play with it, wanna wait for them to be a guinea pig mah.
